I am doing something right!

I have been logging food as I eat them so I can see how I am doing. This weekend, i tried something a little different and logged at the end of the day. Tonight I closed my eyes while the tracker was calculating and peeked to see that I was absolutely perfect. Every category was fulfilled and I had not gone over in any of them. Now THAt is exxciting stuff. Now if the scale would just move and perhaps I shall try bribery with the scale. Damn thing.

    Hooray for meeting all the Nutrition categories. I don't think I ever have, calories and fat I can stay under but some things are always over or under. I salute you. Keep moving and the scale will follow!

    I hate a moody scale!! My scale did finally move though....out the window!! Just for a few weeks it got the boot. Il let it back in when it starts to mind me a lil better! It feels so good to eat so great doesnt it! Keep it up!! emoticon

    emoticon emoticon on eating. It feels great even if that stupid scale doesn't budge. Just keep doing what your doing and you'll get to where you want to be. I'm very tempted to try this fat flush Katie is doing. I think my body really needs cleansed of all the fat and junk I've been putting into it! emoticon

    Great stuff with your logging! About the scale - we all know how frustrating it is, especially when you know you are staying within limits. Measuring is the other saving - because although the scale may not be moving as you'd hope - you may be losing inches.

    Hi! I TOTALLY understand what you mean about the darn scale!!! I worked out consistently and ate well all week and the scale didn't budge! So know that you are not alone! and it must be a great feeling when you realize you are getting the hang of it! I sure am liking developing new habits!

Since I am taking this walking to running transition thing seriously and the soles of my athletic shoes are wearing...mommy got some new shoes. I went to a store where they take these things seriously and they helped me choose a pairof Asics GT-2140. They looked at the wear of the old pair and took it from there. My Nike+ sensor and its holder fit much better on this pair so that makes me happy.

I actually look forward to my morning jaunts and I never dreamed that would EVER EVER happen. The music that really gets me going is anything Off Kilter...I am talking some serious bagpiping here. This is a group that has a fulltime gig at the World Showcase at Epcot in Disney World. They are AWESOME!

Anywho that is today's highights. I am sure all of you are sitting on the edge of your seat from the excitement and in dire need of a heart pill.

Early blog entry

I am blogging early today because we will be gone this evening.

I had yet another Sparktastic Nike + Ipod walk/jog EARLY this morning and jogged easily more to day. That was a great feeling and I actually felt like well...a runner...sorta kinda. next week's weather looks alot cooler so I will be anxious to see if I can up the ante with my attempt at running. after this morning's try, I have a feeling that I will be able to sustain a good run before I know it.

We have a ballgame to go to tonight so I am saving up for some good ol' baseball stadium a *gasp* beer. Oh the carbs humanity!!!! Get over it folks...I am going to have a 24 oz. beer! I will forgo the nachos, peanuts, hot dogs, ice cream, etc. and have a grilled chicken sandwich. They are actually pretty good there. If you are further interested look at my food tracker to see how I am saving up. You will be so jealous! You will think I am the most Sparktastically Sparktastic Sparker for the way I have been eating today. Don't give me grief on no protein yet...that will be tonight.

Now I realize that ya'll will be missing me this evening but do not fear...I shall return tomorrow morning bright and earlyas I log my EARLY morning jaunt.




My 3+ mile walk at 5:30am

I decided that due to the extreme heat and humidity I would try and switch my walk from late afternoon to EARLY morning. I had absolutely no problem get up at 5:20am and get equipped for my Nike + Ipod 60 minute walk. I had no idea how many folks are up at that time doing the same thing. I still sweat my ass off but it felt great and I was no where near as wiped out since it was cooler. DUH!!!! Yea I know...takes me awhile to figure these things out.

The added advantage to this early morning jaunt is the endorphins were still oozing around lunchtime. I was just flying around the office being obnoxiously happy and it was fun to annoy my coworkers. That was an added bonus.

I did enjoy the feeling of accomplishment and the knowledge that I didn't even have to think about getting my mega-walk in for the rest of the day. Oh and while you are walking so early, by the time you are fully awake you are at least halfway done!!!

So for any of you reading this blog entry and are having difficulties getting your walks in...give early morning a try. I did and am very happy I did.

    this is great! I actually decided tonight that I am going for a good walk early morning tomorrow since I can't get to the gym in time after work... Looking forward to it! :)

I had a horrible time sleeping last night due to a very uncomfortable feeling in my legs. It sounds like Restless Leg Syndrome but not sure plus I don't want it to be. I had this urge to keep moving my legs because they were sort of achey and twitchy and just short of cramping. I might add that I have ramped up my walking this week and it has been very hot and humid. I have been sweating ALOT but I take my mega jug of water with me on my walks. I also hydrate before I go and when I finish. This evening when I got home I had about 12 oz. of low sodium V-8 that is LOADED with potassium immediately.

With all that said...what the hell is it???!!!!

    Humm? sound real curious and maybe better go
to the doctor and explain the feeling in your legs
never hear of anybody twitching too much due
to much walking. It should if anything make you
sleep like a baby.Tough call girl.
