We're off for a ride! It will be too hot this afternoon so we are leaving at 8. Later we are barbecuing with family.

DH mowed the lawn for the first time in three weeks; it's a shame that Irene is pelting the east coast when some of us really need rain. I hope that everyone stays safe; I wish we could take some of the rain off your hands.

Computer woes

My computer keeps freezing. My son borrowed mine today to do some homework and now the computer is ailing. Do you think he was really doing homework!?!?

    You could look in the history to see then run a scan and dump some cookies & restart.

    That happens when I let my kids use my laptop too. Mine are using trying to download music or watching youtube. So I put an end to them using my computer. DD now has her own and there is a desktop computer in the hallway for DS. He did not do well enough in school to get his own. If he excels this year then he may be able to get one at the beginning of next school year!

No more junk food......

I vowed to stay away from pizza, popcorn, ice cream, chocolate, etc for the next two weeks and it has not been too hard. ( We, basically, have none in the house right now.) But that didn't keep me away from sweets. The other day I had a bagel thin with cinnamon and butter and a bowl of Cheerios with sugar. Is that cheating? I felt guilty afterward, so I guess I considered that to be junk food. What do you think?

A new biking buddy

I reconnected with an old friend today and we had a great time biking. She is recovering from foot surgery so we didn't bike far but it was still nice. I hadn't talked with her for about 4 months so it was great to do some catching up. You would have been proud of me. Instead of grabbing a bite to eat afterward, I came home and started painting my son's room. I had a healthy breakfast and lunch and have not even thought about junk food. I figure that staying busy will help me stay on track.

OK, time to get serious

Okay, the fun's over and I'm ready to get serious. I've been getting in lots of exercise but I need to kick my junk food to the curb. So, for the next two weeks I can have NO ice cream, cheese or carmel popcorn, chocolate, or pizza. I WILL stay within my calorie range and will track my nutrition. The binge is over!!!!
