Today is Veggie Day on the Sending Skinny Vibes team. I though I'd google it and found an interesting article on the web. Interesting! (Sorry, I don't know how to do fancy computer stuff so didn't get you a direct link.
I've decided to declare Veggie Day for myself every Thursday; I just put in in my planner. I will concentrate on eating lots of veggies on Thursdays and will try some new veggie recipies. Are you with me?
As the weather has been unseasonably cool the past few days, I've spent a lot of time outdoors. This morning I walked with a friend and this evening I biked. WooHoo! It's a real treat be active outside here without dying from the heat/humidity. We'll see what tomorrow brings......it's been raining off and on for the past few days.
Yesterday it was partly cloudy high 70ish. It was a great day for a ride. We jumped on the Katy Trail in St, Charles and rode norht/east to the new trail's end (or beginning depending on how you look at it). It was a pretty ride and there were a few places where we had real hills. (There was some diffiuclty gaining permits for all of the sections of the levy so we had to go down into the woods a few times.) We followed the Missouri River for about half of the ride and rode through farm land for the rest of the ride. The river was high and will probably cover the trail in a few places if/when the river rises more than a few feet. All in all, it was a great ride. There are no shops or interesting things at the end of the trail, however, so we will probably not go back that way untl the fall.
I am now the official Queen of the 2's. I got another one today and am considering adding 2's to my SparkStreaks.
I'm sorry to report that we did not get our bike ride in yesterday....it drizzled most of the day. We did get a lot of paperwork done that we have been avoiding (for way to long) and I did walk with Leslie Sansone and gang. Today I'm chauffeuring my mom around (she has given up her car) but hope to sneak a ride in at some point. If not, I'm meeting Leslie in the basement again.
Have a wonderful day. Take time to do something that you just never seem to have the time to do.
I spun a 2 again. I have decided that a 2 is motivating; it makes me work harder.
Today is the teen's first day of lifeguarding and, of course, we have a chance of storms. On the bright side, we REALLY needed the rain and now he will not get sunburned. (On the not-so-bright side, one of the atrium doors blew open last evening and the carpet and a chair are soaked.) DH and I had a 30 mile bikeride planned so we'll have keep a watch on the sky. We're getting ready for vacation so we have a ton of other things to do if the rain keeps us off of our bikes.
