I want my house back!!

Monday, February 06, 2012

This is the fourth week that the guys have been working on the house. I want my house back! They have the dining room, living room, foyer floors, stairs, and doors to finish as well as "finishing work". I can't wait to get some peace and quiet around here. Thank goodness they leave at 4ish.

Enough complaining! The floors look great so far. We had a heater put into our bathroom floor and the bathroom is no longer the coldest room in the house. We're getting there.......

Been there, done that... You have my sympathies. Here's hoping the work gets done ahead of schedule so you can reclaim your house. On the bright side, just think of how wonderful you house will look with all those changes.

So so......

I've been getting in lots of exercise but have not been eating well. I do fine during the day but have had the munchies in the evening. I know that I should limit myself to freggies after dinner but it's really tough to be good when the rest of the family is munching on pretzel buns and fudgebars. I'm not blaming the family, I'm just not strong enough right now to resist. I need to get back in my grove so I can loose the 5 pounds that I need to lose before we cruise in March.

Have a great day!

I'm also going on a cruise this spring with my sisters - something I've never done! I'm counting on the excitement carrying over to weight loss and a more consistent SP blog! Good luck!

You can do it. It's very hard. I actually have taken to having some popcorn when others snack on more unhealthy snacks at night.

Night time overeating is a big problem for so many of us. As for the fudge bars, Dairy Queen and Schwans have fat free 50-calorie frozen fudge bars that I often use to satisfy my night-time craving for chocolate/sweets. Hang in there !

I find evening tough too, I crave something sweet after dinner. To not deprive myself of an after dinner treat I make the allowance in my calorie intake throughout the day. I will measure out 1 cup of slow churned ice cream or frozen yogurt or have some animal crackers with a cup of tea etc. If you deprive yourself you will binge so think of some snacks that will satisfy you without going bananas. Another good one is low fat yogurt with a sprinkle of granola and fresh fruit. Good luck! emoticon

Another great biking day!

Tuesday, January 31, 2012

I wonder what the odds are that we will have two days in January that top 65 degrees. Today we had one more great day, very breezy but warm. So, once again, I had to drop everything to go out and bike. I left the wood-floor-guys to their own devices and took off on my own. The house is now a mess (from neglect) but I could care less! Remember that phrase from a kids song, THE WHEELS ON THE BIKE GO ROUND AND ROUND? (Okay it was a bus.....whatever.)

The rain and cooler weather are coming in tonight.....that's okay, I won't let them get me down.

emoticon emoticon......................This is me, trying to chase the rain away.

Good for you! I took advantage of the nice day and went to the indoor pool ~ that may sound crazy, but it is so much easier for me to go to the pool when it's nice outside. It's warmer in the natatorium when it's nice outside. I had a great 85 minute workout and drove home in just sweats and a hoodie. Nice! Can't wait to hear about your floors. I'm doing that this spring so better start researching it. Not sure what I want yet.

I KNOW!!! It was 70 down here in Central Arkansas and OMG, you'd have to be crazy not to get outside! DH and I went out for a walk in our favorite park and thoroughly enjoyed it. Maybe tomorrow we'll get to squeeze out one more nice day??!!??

You're right, the weather the past few days has been out of this world for getting out and exercising. I can't even remember having a January like this one. It's really been great. Congrats on getting a good bike ride in!! emoticon emoticon

Did you get outside today?

Monday, January 30, 2012

WooHoo.....I did. It's very unusual to have 60 degree weather in February but it happened today, I had a very busy day but was able to make time for a short (7 mile) bike ride. I haven't ridden since October so I"ll probably be sore but it was worth it. I had already walked (mall) with friends so I had a really great exercise-day.

I hope you had some sunshine to enjoy today!
