Goals and rewards starting 2/26.

Ok...in reviewing my past blogs, I am really seeing how my inconsistency and poor eating habits have recently contributed to my weight gain and in ability to fit into my clothes. I would like to lose 30 lbs by June 10, 2012 by daily exercise, healthy eating, and monitoring of caloric intake.

I weighed in at 170 lbs on 2/27. My goals and rewards are as follows:

3/4 168 lbs - new shoes - Goal met!
3/18 164 lbs - new work out clothes - Goal met!
4/1 160 lbs - new tennis shoes
4/15 156 lbs - mani/pedi
4/29 152 lbs - bath and body works products
5/13 148 lbs - new bike
5/27 144 lbs - Victoria Secret bra/panty set
6/10 140 lbs - new hair style
6/24 136 lbs - new clothes!!

*Updated to reflect accurate weights. Apparently the scale I had been using was off by 5 lbs! (I was 5 lbs heavier than what I thought :-( ) I purchased a new scale and am on track!

    It's great! I got the idea from another spark member. My rewards are every other week to correlate with when I get paid! lol So no excuses to reward myself. :-)

28 day bootcamp - Today is Day 3

Starting on 2/26, I have committed to the 28 day bootcamp as a way to jumpstart my fitness regime and to create a habit of exercise! Today is Day 3. On Day 1, I did the 10 minute cardio video. On Day 2, I did the 11 min lower body strength video and 20 mins of Zumba. Today, I have done the 7 min upper body strength video. This evening I will do 20-30 mins of cardio.

Its time to put my gym membership to good use!!

So I'll be honest...from halloween until Thanksgiving, I ate like lil Miss Piggy! (3 children, 3 baskets full of chocolate candy....I just couldn't resist!). As a result, the Monday following Thanksgiving, I got on the scale and saw that I was a whopping 156lbs!! I haven't been 156lbs since the year I gave birth to my 4 y/o. I than had to be honest with myself and admit that I cannot eat any and everything and expect to NOT gain weight. Truth is, I have been as large as 186lbs (during pregnancy) and the fat cells are there. They may shrink from time to time but they are there and I have to work at keeping the weight off and losing weight to reach my goal. I have consistently tracked my food intake since 11/29 and have thrown in a little exercise (not very consistent) and have lost the 8 lbs that I've gained. Now I'm back to 148 lbs and will continue to do what I am doing (and add in consistent exercise) to stay on track. Moving forward, my goal is a 2lb loss each week. I am no longer in denial. I know that I have to monitor my intake and exercise! I do plan to let loose on Christmas but I will make up for it. ;-)

Good news is...I haven't gained any weight...not so good news...I haven't lost any either! My birthday came and went....but my weight has remained the same. Back to setting small attainable goals for myself in hopes that THIS time will be different. I believe in myself! And with consistancy I can live the healthy lifestyle that I long to live! So here goes...

weighed in on 10/4 at 151 lbs
weighing in on 10/11 at 147.4 lbs.

My mini goals/rewards are as follows:

10/18 145lbs - new book
11/1 141lbs - bath and body works products
11/15 137 lbs - new pair of shoes
11/29 133 lbs - sexy bra/panties from victoria secret
12/13 129 lbs - mani/pedicure
12/27 125 lbs - new clothes!!
