My Body Bugg came in the mail today. It took me a while to set it up but it syncs with my iPhone which is awesome! So now I can figure out my biggest conundrum (hopefully) as to why I'm not losing weight/inches even though I am kicking butt working out and eating well. I believe this will be the missing link!

So I had a lovely day yesterday with my partner eating a healthy breakfast at one of our favorite organic restaurants and going for a hike. After the hike, I was craving ice cream. Ahhhhh nooooooooooo! I'm in the midst of the "Making the Cut" workout by Jillian Michaels so I've been really good with tracking my progress. So my partner was very hungry and wanted pizza. I have gluten-intolerance so that's generally a safe place for me to *not* splurge on. I ordered a small side salad and could barely finish it while he ate his pizza. When we were done, my ice cream fixation was gone! Now I can't say it will always be like that, but I was pretty proud of myself.

    You should be proud of yourself. Men can eat and not gain, but that doesn't work for us. My husband NEVER gains and eats anything and everything. He can pick up a 10# rock and have muscles pop out.
Read Gary Taubes book "WHY WE GET FAT AND WHAT TO DO ABOUT IT." I got a copy at the library. Great book.

Rest day!

I'm on Day 6 of Making the Cut and I'm enjoying my rest day. My food log is rather abysmal today though, lol. I stayed within my calorie range but did not make good choices. I'm taking note to drink extra water. Today we rescued a lost chihuahua at my partner's work so it was a stressful situation but it ended on a good note as we found the owner!

I think I'll go to bed early tonight! I'm pooped!

And not just physical although that is certainly there!

I've on Day 5 of Jillian Michaels' "Making the Cut" routine. I don't know if I've done something that physically difficult in my life, but I'm doing it and making NO excuses. I'm already seeing wonderful changes and that inspires me!

I've also started seeing a wonderful therapist who is working on helping me get my power back and let go of past issues.

I'm putting more emphasis in my business and it feels great! I'll be volunteering with the folks who are helping with the Extreme Makeover Home Edition that is happening in my town. My role is helping their muscles stay relaxed :) (I'm a LMT)

I've cut down on caffeine. Haven't had any coffee in seven days. None. I do drink yerba mate and black tea which has half the caffeine and I've noticed my sleep is better. And yes, I've been sleeping 8+ hours per night.

Overall I'm trying to integrate new habits and I'm feeling great about it!

I can hold all my planks, do 20 consecutive pushups and run, run, run. I'm definitely getting stronger so not everything is a numbers game with weight and measurement! This month I vow to be better about tracking my food and not giving in to so many sweets!
