Have you notice that there's no Mosquito around due to the Heat Wave?

Saturday, June 30, 2012

Where are they? The weather has been extremely Hot, Humid and Dry. I live in Michigan and I haven't been bitten by one yet. There're lots of big deer flies but no mosquitoes. I guess they can't survive in this heat, and neither can we.

they're all in Texas! Mosquitos love me I have a thousand bites! Mosquitos are strange though, yeah sometimes there aren't any and then they'll be crazy all over the place!

Come to northern California if you want mosquitos, or better yet, maybe we can encourage them to migrate!

Hey, I think you're right, Susan! I've been going outside after 8pm to enjoy a little bit of the early evening, which is usually prime mosquito time in my area! They haven't been around now that you made me think of it!

My DH is Copying Again!

Monday, June 11, 2012

Well, I guess its a good thing, but my DH has loset 5 pounds in just two weeks! He noticed that I've lost weight & now he's on the band wagon, and been watching what he eats and now losing weight. He has given up bread, soda and Lay's Potatoe Chips. I weight more than he does & I mentioned this fact to him bcuz I was planning to catch up & past his weight on the scale.

But, I guess our house can now be a really healthy household

Plus his being healthier is good

My husband and I started losing weight together. He lost faster than I did, but I kept mine off. He didn't! There is an article somewhere on this site pointing out that men lose weight faster than women. The article gives reasons for this!

Hey Susan! Remember the fairy tale of The Tortoise and the Hare? You just plan on being that persistent tortoise! LOL

But like FLEURGARDEN said: It's gotta feel good to have him in line WITH you and not tempting you with any unhealthy choices.

Keep blogging!

That's great that he's changing his eating habits and trying to get healthy too. Much better than him keeping his old habits and not supporting you in your new, healthy lifestyle. It can be frustrating though when men can lose so much easily than us women can. It's just ain't fair!

It's A Sunny Day In Southeast Michigan!

Thursday, June 07, 2012

It's finally warming up in SE Mchigan & I am Loving it! I walked for for an hour at the Metro Park and boy is it beautiful outdoors. I almost forgot how green MI is in the water summer. This summer class I think I'm going to try kayaking just to do something different.

I used to live in western Michigan. I remember how wonderful it felt when it finally warmed up! We lived on Lake Michigan. It was beautiful in the summer, but it was very snowy in the winter!

I believe the more new things you try the better. It keeps exercise from getting boring! Then you can stick with the ones you like and drop the ones you don't like!
