Day 3 Workout Complete

Oh boy am I tired now. I did all of my workouts and took 2 walks today! My co-worker needed some away from the desk talk. She is so good to everyone at work, but she is going through a few things right now and I think she just wanted someone to listen to her. I did just that listen.

My workouts today were:

Sweatsuit to Swimsuit 8 minute lower body
28 Day Challenge 10 minute cardio workout

Get Fit Fast
Smith Machine Incline Press 2/12 at 15lbs
Lat pull down 2/12 at 20lbs
Seated Machine Row 2/12 (only 2 the right side had a slight pain) at 10 lbs
Smith machine over head press 2/12 with bar only (I think that is like 5 lbs)
Reverse Pec Deck 3/12 at 10 lbs
Cable Lying triceps ext. 2/12 at 5lbs (can't master the technique of this one yet)
Standing cable curl 2/12 at 10 lbs

20 minutes of HIIT I did a fast walk for 20 seconds rest for 10 and then repeat.

Next week I plan to up the weights a little, taking it easy with the heavy weights, first real weights since the surgery.

Had an extremely slow day at work, but since Spark was actually a weird I had to settle for reading my magazine.

No Jury Duty yet. I do have to check back tomorrow after 5 to see if I need to go. I sure hope not, you have to almost get naked to go into the court house, what a mess it is.

    Great job on all the working out!! It's best to start out lighter on the weights after the surgery.
I'll be keeping my fingers crossed that you don't have to go to Jury duty.

    You go girl!!! Hope you liked the Get Fit Fast Workout-- I have that one on Thursday. I did the UB DB Circuit last night. I think you will like that one. Day 2 Workout

Hello Hope everyone had a wonderful New Year! I started mine off on the right foot and it feels so good. I did my workouts yesterday as planned. Today I got up early and did 2 loads of laundry (it never ends in my house), and while I was waiting for the laundry to finish I started my workout.

This is what I did today:
*Sweatsuit to Swimsuit Challenge Day 7 Video (10 minute Cardio Kickboxing workout)
*28 Day Challenge Core workout (9 minute)

I am also doing one of the workout sessions from my Muscle and fitness Hers Magazine called Get Fit Fast. Sunday is a Cardio day so I did the Wii Active 2 Step Cardio for 37.20 Minutes and burned 226.5 Calories. Towards the end I was getting tired and the words on the screen said "pick up the pace", wow even the Wii knows I need to get my butt in gear! LOL

I finished all the laundry and folded it this time, went to the grocery, did my workouts, took down all the Christmas Decorations (the kids helped), went to the nail shop, and have dinner planned already and it is not even 5:00 yet. The things you can get done if you put your mind too it and get up early.

Dinner is just leftover flank steak and I will add some brown rice and broccoli (beef broccoli).

Happy New Year, Happy New You everyone.
Well today is January 1, 2011, I have taken some before photos like I said I would and here they are. A little scary for me, but I know what I need to do, post them so I can be held accountable for whipping myself back into shape. I will post new photos at the beginning of each month, or before depending on my progress. I am so excited to get started with my new workout and eating habits that I know I can do it.

My Measurements this morning were as follows:
Weight 129. 7 (130)
Waist 34
Hips 38
Thigh 24
Upper Arm 13

Push ups in 1 min 30
Crunches in 1 min 50 (if I can do that many in 1 minute there is no reason for my stomach to look the way it does :).


Well here goes:






My goal is to lose 14. 7 lbs by April 10 (my 36th birthday) and keep it off.
Tone and tighten my thighs
Get my biceps back ( I had nice biceps up until about 3 years ago, always received compliments about them)
Not sure what my waist size should be, but I currently wear a size 11 pants would love to back to at least a 7/8 size.
Not sure if I can lose the hips, they run in my family, but I am going to workout hard and hopefully I will tone up all over, hips included.
We are going on a family vacation in June and I want to be able to wear a 2 piece swimsuit (never have), by the pool and not feel like I need to hide myself with a cover up!

These are my goals and I am sticking to them.

    Try the NEW YOU boot camp team for toning. I had lost all but 15 lbs when I started doing them. I couldn't believe how thin my thighs looked and I have muscle in my arms that you can see now when I lift things. I also do the Sweatsuit to Swimsuit one, but of the 2 I like the New You best. Good luck!

I am so excited to start a whole new year. I am looking forward to a successful and healthy year for me and also for my family. There are somethings about 2010 that I would like to forget and I think that is why I am so excited about starting over.

I am thankful that I found SparkPeople.com this year. I have only been on this site since Oct '10 and I have met so many wonderful people on who this site, who really and truly care about what is going in one's life whether it be good or bad. Kind of like the family I never had growing up as a kid. I no longer have to wonder what it feels like to have people care about you. I now know since I joined Spark. Thanks everyone you have made my life a lot easier knowing that I am cared for. You guys/gals rock!

I did not do any working out yesterday so I will double up on my Sweatsuit to Swimsuit and 28 Day Challenge workouts. They are not too hard to complete. This is the last time I will do that, because I am going to be so dedicated to working out and eating healthy I won't know how to act if I don't do it.

I did play Wii Fit with the kids last night and I know longer hold the Hula Hoop record :(. My points were 311 and then here comes my daughter and she beat me by 2 points. What the heck? I have to practice when she goes to sleep so I can get my record back on top. We had fun with it and there were no hard feelings!

I will be staying in tonight with the kids, the hubby is working again. The kids and I will take down the Christmas decorations and put everything away tomorrow. Good thing there are no more decorations outside. I think the forecast for tomorrow is rain.

Have a wonderful evening everyone! I am going to feed my 2 hungry kids. Burgers and green beans. I know not a good combo, but the kids need there veggies.

    I'm very happy that you found SparkPeople and I'm glad I finally decided to actually make a page and join the boards in September. Otherwise we wouldn't have met.
You did do working out...wii fit...just not your challenge stuff. That's okay. double up this one time and then back at it.
I'm sorry you lost your hula hoop record. You need to regain your title.
Burgers and green beans sounds like a meal I'd make ;-)

Today was a good day! No work today because the girls had there last game of the Tournament. They took home the 3rd place trophy, very proud of those girls they have worked so hard with being on Christmas break and practicing daily like nobodies business they just don't know how proud I am of them. Well if they watch the videos I have recorded they will know. I have a really sore throat from cheering them on. Nothing a little tea and lemon can't help.

I did my Costco thing today and luckily I only bought what I needed, no extras just the things on the list. My daughter went with me for help. We spent the afternoon together shopping. She bought a few t-shirts from Old navy (7.50 sale). We went over to Barnes and Nobles also, I ended buying "The Spark" it was on sale (20% off), I have membership with them so it was another 10% on top of that the cashier was feeling jolly and gave me the 25% off coupon although I did not have one with me. I ended up getting the book for 9.56, what a deal.

I am really excited about the New Year. I plan to take really good care of my body and eat healthy. I plan to take the family along on this ride with me so that way the kids will learn how and what to feed there bodies as they get older. I don't want them to struggle with the same issues that I have struggled with for so long. Not really a New Year's Resolution, but it is time for me to take charge and do what I know I need to do for me and that is exactly what I am going to do.

Well I hope everyone has a wonderful evening. I will be sparking for a little bit longer to catch up since I have not been on today, then I am going to defend my title in Hula Hoop on the Wii with my daughter, hopefully my son will join us when we play bowling. He thinks Hula Hoop is for girls, but it is good for your thighs. I know because I think my are going to catch on fire sometimes when we play.

    Congratulate the girls for me! They did awesome!!
Excellent deals on the book and the t-shirts. You are a bargain shopper for sure.
It's great that you are going to get the whole family into healthy eating. I think one of my biggest problems growing ups was when I finally decided to drop the weight (the first time) I had to sort of do it alone. Hard as a teenager.
Have fun with Hula Hoop. That does sound like a lot of fun and it's great exercise. Bowling not as great exercise but fun none the less.
