Doctor Appt

Thursday, December 16, 2010

Okay, had to call into the Doctor's office yesterday to set up an appointment to have the stitches that I thought were all removed again. There were about 3 of them poking through the skin. Not painful at all, just annoying. So I went in this morning and was there for about 5 minutes, pull, cut, and that was it. The Doctor said that is normal after a surgery to sometimes have a few of the stitches that should have dissolved appear through the skin. So that was my morning.

I have to pick up my daughter from school at noon, who has finals schedule. do some laundry, a little housekeeping, pay a few bills, pick up my son at 2:30, be back at the High School by 2:45 to take the girls who need a ride to the game. Game time at 4:00, game should be done by 6:00, feed my son who has basketball at 7:00, finish up what laundry I did not complete if any, pick up my son at 8:30, do the dishes, shower and sleep like a baby. Have a wonderful day everyone! I probably won't get to log in again today.

I suppose the dissovable stitches don't always do what they're supposed to do. At least it was remedied easily.
Wow! You have quite the day planned. I bet you'll be ready to go to bed when you're done.
Have fun! Good luck to the girls in their game!

What do you mean you never got the check?

Wednesday, December 15, 2010

Oh my the check for our Mortgage is lost. This is why I never ever send it through the regular mail. I don't know why I did it this time either. I wrote the check and mailed it on Monday 12/6/10. That little voice in the back of my head kept telling me to check the account to see if it had posted and it hadn't. So I called B of A, who by the way takes for ever to get a live person on the line, and they said that the check never made it there. OMG! So now what? I had to call the bank and it takes forever for them to answer as well and by this point I am frustrated, but not in any way rude to anyone who answers the phone, not their fault the mail was lost, and the lady says that there will be a 25.00 charge to cancel the check. That is fine, because the mortgage is due tomorrow. So she went ahead and processed it. Now I have to call B of A back and do a payment over the phone. UGH! Oh well! Maybe I better close that account also just in case it was not lost and some has it. My light bulb went off as I was typing this blog. Okay off to the bank. Hopefully it will be a smooth transition to a new account.

So far so good! I was able to cancel the missing check and we just keep a close eye on the account. Chase has marked the account and they will call if anything seems to be fishy! So it was not a completely bad day! I was able to get some excellent help from the people at B of A and also at Chase.

What a pain. Keep your fingers crossed for me. I normally put our property tax check in the lockbox outide of City Hall but this year I mailed it. Now I wish that I had just gotten off of my lazy behind and had taken it to CH.

emoticonDon' you just hate that! It's such a hassle to fix the issue too. What probably happened is that it got mutilated in the mail and you will get the infamous plastic baggie with the remains in the next few weeks. This happens during the holidays. I think it's because of the packages being shipped.

Good luck. A big reason I don't use manual checks anymore. I use electronic ones or debit cards so there is a way to trace it. Sorry this happened to you. emoticon

I hate when stuff gets lost in the mail. Especially something as important as the mortgage payment. I'm glad you got it sorted out.
Good luck at the bank!

MIA over the weekend!

Monday, December 13, 2010

I was MIA on SparkPeople this weekend. It was quite busy for me. This is the busiest I have been since my surgery and I have to take lots of breaks and my hubby was so patient. :)

Saturday We did all of the decorations in the house, not a whole lot. They tree which is 7 feet tall, the stairs and the windows where we have the stockings. A lighted seasons greetings sign in the front window and the 2 stars that go in the windows upstairs. That took all of 3 hours. My daughter and hubby helped reach all the ornaments on top that I could not reach. Then we had to close up all the containers and get them back in the garage. It was fun, but boy was I tired.

After decorating the tree, my girlfriend and her daughter came over for a little bit, to check on me and make sure that I did not need anything. They are so sweet to me. When they left we finished the other decorations and of course you have to vacuum the floors from all the lint and things that fall out while decorating, thank goodness my daughter did that part. Then it was time for dinner. Don't even remember what we had, but everyone ate. I ended up falling asleep on the couch for all of 45 minutes, power naps are the best.

Then we put the outdoor decorations together, we were supposed to put them out yesterday, but it did not happen. Hopefully we can get them out today. The weather was very dreary it was misting ( I think), or maybe it was a light sprinkle, could not tell, but I needed the wipers on when I took the kids to school.

Sunday - The Costco Run
We did exactly that we ran in and we ran out. That store was so busy that it was a shame. I thought fore sure they were giving away a grand prize for entering. I looked at the hubby and he said, give me half the list and we split up. That was the best idea. We ended with only exactly what was on the list and that was it. Thankfully the lines were moving pretty quick. After Costco we ended up at Safeway. There are somethings that we don't buy at Costco, just because it is too much and it ends of going bad then we have to throw it out. Huge waste. Safeway was less crowded with people, but the lines were moving slow, but we made it out within an hour.

Boy I thought I would never say that I am happy it is MONDAY!
I will try to log in this week as often as I can, but my daughter has 6 basketball games within the next 7 days and I plan on going to all of them. Then I will be back at work on Monday 12/20. So not looking forward to going back. But I am thankful that I still have a job.

Have a wonderful week everyone. Sorry about the long blog.

Decorating is more work than you think. With all the bending and reaching and going up and down ladders.
Costco is always tiring. It doesn't matter what time of the's crazy in there.
You have a busy week ahead. I know you're not looking forward to going back to work (who is, after time off) but it's good that you're well enough to work and it's great that you still have a job!

Just taking it easy today!

Thursday, December 09, 2010

Nothing special to blog about today! Went to the Hair Salon last night to get my hair fixed. It was in need of some serious help. It looks and feels so light today.
Took a walk, played on the computer, made a Blackberry Cobbler, that I have not touched yet (that in itself is a miracle), sorted through some really old paperwork (2002), don't know why that was still laying around, and now I will go finish up some scrapbooking/cards that I started this week.

Happy Thursday!
