Hi all! It's been a while...whoops!
I've been doing prett well. I've been pampered now that I'm home from university and my mom likes to make sure i'm well fed. I've been enjoying many delicious (and gluten-free) meals since mid December, but I haven't gained anything at all! Even through Christmas. I now fit into a several small- sized shirts in many stores! Whoooooo!
Once i get back to school and start walking to classes everyday (seriously! The walking to and from classes alone is a good hour every day) the weight will start to come off again, if it didn't over the holiday...I have no scale here.
I'm still on shedual, i joined the Valentine's Day Challenge too. I'm excited about that!

Another Hamburger Story

So, last night I once again decided to have hamburgers, but this time instead of throwing the fat right into the garbage I was lazy and waited until it was cold to clean up. I seperated all the pure white fat from the (little) bit of water in the pan that the fat had been collected in. There was enough fat there to pill over 1/3 of a cup measuring cup! Not good! I remember thinking "and that could've been sitting in my arteries or taking up residence in my belly...ewww".

So, today (day10) I discovered a marvelous little thing called Lactose and Gluten- Free Chocolate Mousse.
Very good stuff. They come in a pretty large serving size of 125g and have only 137 cals. It makes a really nice study-snack or dessert.

So- I step on the scale... "good result..please! FOR THE LOVE OF KITTENS be kind scale!" And from 175 and go to...171.5! WHOOOOOOO! YEAH! 3.5 pounds in my first week. I could care less if it was only .5pounds, it's just that I know I'm losing, so it's all good.
So happy...must dance in a crazy fashion now.


Hamburgers...Good Golly!

Hi all!
So tonight I decided to have 2 100% beef hamburgers...this is my story:
So- I decide to cook them in my lean-griller (it gets a LOT of the fat out of foods) I put 2 in. They are really thin and not to big to begin with (roughly10.5cmx 7cm x .5cm). I go upstairs for a roughly 2 minutes, come back to see the fat/greece collector dish overflowing and excess greece/fat pooling all over the counter top. Now my little fat collecting dish is a fair you can just imagine how much fat had to be in those things. It took roughly 5 paper towels just saturated in fat to get it all of the counter on top of that. In the end they were only about 8.5cm in diameter and not even .5cm in depth. Yeah, I'm VERY glad I decided to use my lean-griller instead of just thowing them into a frying pan to cook...yikes.
It also made me very glad I cooked 2. So tiny they were....

I also went shopping today, grabbed some flax seed- it was recommended to me by my doctor when I was diagnosed gluten-intollerant. I'm going to read up a bit on using first before I dive right in. I hear it can be quite a laxitive if not used properly...and that's not a good thing.
