I couldn't help it - I scale peeked.

Thursday, August 23, 2007

For the third morning in a row, I got up at 5am.
For the third morning in a row, I drove to pick up my friend Deb at 630am.
For the third morning in a row, we walked 2 miles at the high school track.
For the third morning in a row, I am so proud of myself!!!

After I came home and stretched a little (dogs playing on the floor with me), I jumped in the shower and after I dried off, I stood my naked body up on the scale. 247. Three pounds lighter than I was three mornings ago. :)

Yes, trust me... I know it means nothing. LOL But it's super nice to see that my immediate behavior has had a positive immediate effect. :)

Did you know that it takes three weeks to make a new habit? That's it. Just three little weeks. 21 days.

I'm on day 3... and loving it here. :)

This has been ri-damn-diculous.

Tuesday, August 21, 2007

This is me with Darren Rowse (www.problogger.net) at a bloggers meetup I helped set up for him while he was in NYC at a conference. This was roundabout May or June, and it was hot as hell in the city that week.

I have several photos from the past few months since my birthday in April that flat out just make me ill.

The good news? My friend Deb is home from the military for good. She too has weight she wants to shed, to get down to 150 (like I want, but I have 30 more to go than she does...lol).

This morning, Deb called me at 530 to make sure I was up (I got up at 5) and we went for a 2 mile walk around the high school track at 630am!

I came home and made myself a breakfast burrito with some leftover burrito-y stuff (chicken & black beans in a burrito "sauce") and a slice of FF Kraft American cheese. Higher in calories than I thought it would be, because of the egg and the tortilla wrap, but it was amazing... I could literally FEEL it nourishing my body!

So now I'm feeling really positive and back on track! I'm off to the shower before I start working on client stuff!

it does take alot when you have an injury i had a severe sprained ankle from doing an aeoribcs class and i only missed 2 classes because i couldnt stand not exercising so i taped and wrapped it up and went to class any way i wasent gonna let it stop me from getting my weight off.there for a while my weight loss stalled and i didnt lose any weight for like 4-5 months talk about being upset but it finally started coming off since i started following the biggest loser diet and i love it.i take aeorbics classes 4 days a week teach them 2-3 times a month and on the other days i do the treadmill at home sometimes i take sunday off and even exercise 2 times a day im so tired of being this way i was almost 300 so im determined.hope to hear from you

Aww, you broke your wrist? :(

I was just thinking of how LONG it had been since I had heard from you, and came over to check in with ya. So - besides the injury - how are you doing?

Okay - So enough's enough.

I'm still not over my stomach pains... some of you might know from my site (www.ladydelaluna.com) that I've been having issues with my gallbladder and stomach. They come and go now, but fortunately are more "go" than "come" so I'm starting to feel a little better.

I haven't gained or lost - which I suppose is okay, though I sometimes wish I could be one of those people who lost a ton of weight when they're sick! LOL

I've started tracking my weight and intake again today... so hopefully I can do some "fat damage" before the holidays really hit.

I'm working for 240 by the new year... I'm at 255 still. Going to revamp my life over the next few months, attempting to jump a number of hurdles, both in work life and personal life. It's never been a smooth ride, so we'll see how things go!

Please - add my site to your bookmarks or something? I write there most often, and keep track of things in public there. I'd love to see comments and everything from the people here over there! (I've apparently referred almost 100 people to SP from the link on there! That's freakin' AWESOME!)

Not gonna make the mini goal...

Tuesday, August 29, 2006

I'm not going to make my mini goal of 250 by 9/8. I didn't lose anything this week, so I'm still sitting at 255, and there's no way I can lose 5 lbs in 10 days. I wouldn't want to try - it'd be unhealthy to do it.

I admit to not tracking my food since Thursday night... I think I need to go back on my "weekends of non-tracking" and just start tracking every day. It worked for 2 weeks - but it's just not going to work any more.

Working on my website too - I invite everyone to come take a look - it'll be changing in its look and feel soon enough... but it's got a little history, and hey, it's mine. LOL

Yeah, don't do anything silly to try to make the goal...

Just do your thing, and see where it takes you.

I think that tracking, even if it takes some time, is really worth it - so I encourage you to get back at it. :)

I'm gonna check out your website, too...
