A New Beginning

Today is Monday, a new day, a new week, a new beginning. I'm looking forward to a change in my routine. I decided not to risk my goal and continue with the tracker until I lose these 8lbs. I am also going to add an extra weight training day. Cardio is harder b/c I'd have to go out to do it. However, the design of the program is aroebic so I should be good. :-)

I'm excited about the week. I have a feeling it's going to be great!

Well, I didn't lose any weight. I had really hoped to lose 2 lbs b/c I'll never lose 8 more by 17 Dec if I don't lose every week. But I'm not disappointed. I've lost .5 to 2.5 inches on various parts of my body.

It could be muscle. I lifted more weights this week than I have in a while b/c I bought enough dumbbells to do some of my routine at home.

Still, I'll give it another week and I might have to go back to the nutrition tracker. I don't think I ate anymore than usual. I did up my fruit from 1 1/2 cups to 2, but I can't imagine that would hurt me.

I wrote on a message board that I'm not an emotional eater but today I wasn't feeling good and for some reason I wanted Doritos. Back in the day, I used to eat Doritos with a Mountain Dew when I didn't have time to eat dinner. I hadn't thought about that in a while though. I bought a bag from the vending machine and only had one serving. I wasn't even tempted to finish off the bag. And instead of a Dew, I drank a diet coke. I can't believe how far I've come!

I did my motivational collage today. It's pretty cool. I'm planning on hanging it up in my bedroom. The last few pounds should be a piece of cake...or fruit. :-)

I rode the bike, which felt great. But I still ended up finishing on the treadmill to get my 300 calories. I didn't have enough time to do weights so I did that tonight.

Saturday's my day to do the official weigh-in and measurements, so I'm gearing up for that. I may also take some comparison photos. Going to the gym in the mornings has really made a difference. I have so much energy in the evenings.

However, I am off to bed right now. Have to get my 8 hours so I can get my SparkPoints.



Talking to a friend

Today I spoke to a friend about how I'm obsessing about doing everything just right. She's good to talk to b/c she laughs at me which makes me laugh at myself. I hear how crazy I sound when I say what I'm thinking out loud. emoticon

It was a good day, though. I probably ate around 1300 calories and I'm not hungry. I'm going to the gym in the morning, and I'm going to get on the bike even though I know I won't lose as many calories as I would on the treadmill or elliptical. I'll do sprints, though--that won't boost the numbers but I don't want my body to adjust to my routine and end up working against myself.
