I keep thinking how blessed I am to a have a father, to have a father who loves to do things with me, to have a father who is healthy and active, who thinks being blind is just a small problem. he is 86 and lifts weights, bowls, walks miles every day, swims...and the list goes on and on.

How lucky you are to still have your father and especially that he takes care of himself. I hope you are able to keep his around a long time and enjoy him!! I lost my father when I was 14 so really appreciate that you appreciate your father so much! emoticon

What a wonderful heritage to claim in him! You are blessed. I lost my dear daddy in 1996 and I still miss him.

I made it through

Wednesday, January 13, 2010

Yesterday was my birthday. Never a good time for me. But made it through. Even with going to Oaks Inn for dinner. Had water to drink (never bad for you). Salad was wonderful. Dinner was salmon. For my "party" food at school I brought blueberries. The kids loved them. It ended being all great.

For my birthday treat to me I went to the gym. All and all good path for me.

Back in the groove

Tuesday, January 05, 2010

Feeling so much better now that I am back to walking and the gym. Back to the trainer this week.

Back to eating correctly. I went through the house on Saturday and just tossed all the bad food. Too much temptation silly just to have it around. Saved all that good food. Lots of veggies, lots of water, lots of lean protein all good.
