Ready to go back...

Friday, February 24, 2012

So I have been low carbing since 2004, I lost 100lbs and have been able to keep it off. Over the last few months I have been finding that it is difficult to stay away from the temptations at work and at home. I was justifying eating chips and crackers and other carby stuff that made me fat in the past.
I stopped eating low carb and changed up my eating, I bought some lean cuisines that are quick and easy and at this time I cannot stomach to eat another one. They all taste the same and it is hard to find one that is not all pasta.
I am ready to get back to low carbing and I almost can't wait for the morning to get back on.
Live and learn.

Good luck with returning to low carb. You will feel better. I am also eating low carb to can get tired of the same old meals so I keep looking for new things to try. If you go to you can find low carb breads and pancake mixes that might satisfy your carb cravings.

You can do it.

Enjoyed the post and the comments. Especially SheryLDS.

Emblematic of nothing:

My wife tried Lean Cuisine out on me. This is when I was playing ball about 4 times per week plus jogging everyday, but I still weighed more than I wanted.

I had two or three lean cuisines every night. I lost weight like crazy.

Not that easy, now. But, I still am doing it.

I saw your post on a team and came to your page. I have the same problem but what I did wrong after going low carb I discovered I wasn't eating enough carbs (vegetables, that is) and the diet affected my mood and energy. Now I have a new plan - still low carb but make sure I eat more salads and maybe add green smoothies.

Good grief, GF. I am so relieved to hear you say this. Ugh on the Lean Cuisine. This is so not you!! Welcome back to sensible eating. LOL.

If you can keep your carbing to one meal a week, you can have treats and not derail yourself.

    Yay! Back to low carb!

How about 6 days strict low carb, then 1 day where you can give into temptation? That schedule keeps me sane and gives me the freedom to go out to dinner, go out with friends, etc.

If you can, stick to low carb. I regained everything after I went off (105 pounds) and am struggling to get back again. Good luck!

why bother with frozen packages...between the microwave and a small frypan, you've got it covered.
wipe the pan with a drizzle of olive oil, put a chicken cutlet in with some frozen veggies, add your spices, cook over medium heat covered, wait 20 minutes...and you've got a delicious meal.
Inexpensive, less salt, and very tasty

I saw your food trackers...are you only eating 800 calories a day? Is that enough? I'm about 1200 cals a day and I exercise 1-1 n 1/2 hours a day....

Good luck and thanks for comments on my blog

Need a change

Thursday, January 12, 2012

I have been struggling to get myself back on track, I feel like I need a change.

I still believe in low carb 100%, but I think I am going to back off for a month and see if I can get my head wrapped around where I need to be.

I will stay away from the white stuff and continue to eat as healthy as I can.

I did that last year except I didn't avoid the white stuff and I gained 30 pounds. LOL. I hope it works much better for you, GF.

I can totally relate. It was either feast or famine for me too when I worked.

I used to love this Shakespeare quote:

Will fortune never come with both hands full,
But write her fair words still in foulest letters?
She either gives a stomach and no food;
Such are the poor, in health; or else a feast
And takes away the stomach; such are the rich,
That have abundance and enjoy it not.

Work. Pah.

It is hard to believe Christmas has come and gone.

Where does all the time go, I seem to work it away.
