Wrenches. . . .

Thursday, June 17, 2010

So a minor wrench has been thrown into the mix and is causing things to malfunction a bit. However instead of reacting in a negative fashion I am working to put together a game plan that works for as many who want to accept it vs. fight it. Kids arent too happy with the kink but then again if everything went as wanted or hoped it would be boring.

Time to put on thinking caps and help find place for folks w/multiple evics on their record, plus limited to no income.

Hey at least I havent fallen off the fitness wagon! Still making progress toward that running thing, going to increase run time on treadmill today however I am kicking myself as I was awake early enough this morning with nice weather that I could have done that outside, oh well there will be another day. As I feel less stress and more relieve it will get better/easier.

Onward and upward!!

New adventures

Wednesday, June 16, 2010

So it looks like my youngest children and I will be moving at the end of the month. On top of that I am looking to get my youngest and myself a membership at the Y so she can get herself into better shape for her new school. She has chosen an JROTC high school that does fitness twice a week and while active there are some limitations that she desires to get over so has asked me to help her work through them which is awesome.

It is nice to see that my youngest two - almost 19 and 16 - are seeking to improve their fitness levels for their owner reasons which are primarily health related. Now to get oldest ones to work on this. . . not holding breathe.

It is onward and upward from here!

Reflections

Monday, June 14, 2010

It has been a slightly crazy weekend. Wasn't feeling well, my son graduated, WOOT!!! Dealt a little with finances, garage sale, roommates which right now are unpleasant things. However on a brighter note I did receive confirmation that an old loan is not rehabilitated and I am no longer delinquent so that rocks plus while doing some cleaning I came across my journal from our first Biggest Loser competion here at work and in a year here are some differences:

June 4, 2009 fast forward to June 14, 2010

weight: 256.60 roughly the same
chest: 46" holding steady
waist: 46" 41"
hips: 50" 46"

What the scale denies the body reveals. These measurements hold true be it I myself doing them or a professional fitter which is awesome. I am super proud of me and the work I have done to change my physical being as it has made me healthier in so many ways.

Ditch the scale my friends and love your clothes/tape measure and how you feel as those really are the true measure of fitness and health. There are some thin folks out there who cannot run the 5k or have more internal organ fat than you do because they dont really exercise to stay or be healthy we I do, you do and so many of us here do.

Keep up the good work!!!

A new day

Wednesday, June 09, 2010

Left for work today and the SUN was up and shining strong. Just a gorgeous morning and so I decided that despite conflict at home that I am going to just do the best I can and that does include putting me first.

I am going to finish helping w/prep for yard/garage sale

I am going to double up my work ups 3 times a week meaning weights and cardio in the evening or cardio in the morning and then weights in the evening. Kind of like circuit training so we'll see

I am going to spend more time working on my crafts including card making because having all those rubbers stamps is a waste if I don't use them. Plus my dearly departed former upline from Stampin' Up! would be disappointed in me.

Also going to work on the C25k training and get running. If I can running chasing the ball while playing catch I can run 5K.

Have a Great day!! Thanks for stopping by for a read

Way to have a positive attitude about your day. That helps you to make better decisions.

Hey I am starting the C25K program too. Well sort of. I am not running a lot yet but I am still going to use it whenever I do run!!!

You go!!! emoticon

Rainy days

Tuesday, June 08, 2010

Don't like rainy days, very hard to want to do anything. Right now even worse with all the emotional turmoil at home around moving and leaving family/group home setting. Despite hard feelings I feel best thing for me is to move and be on own again as I feel I have lost a part of myself some where along the way in the last few years.

Still taking the supplement and exercising however think I'd be seeing greater results with more sleep and less stress - all the more reason to move.

Anyway it is on ward and up ward from here - and no that is not in reference to the scale. LOL
