Energized and most importantly not heavy

Do you think this was a healthy thing to consume? Why or why not?

The GNC shake may not have been a good choice. Itís a good it suppose to be a meal supplement but I would have been better eating a piece of toast. The orange was a good choice, you really canít go wrong with fruit and for most people eating more fruits and veggies are ideal when attempting to meet the Dietary Guidelines. (p.36)

Mid Snack

Do you think this was a healthy thing to consume? Why or why not?

Oatmeal is normally a good choice for grains, milk is something that I learned that I had to incorporate and is also a in conjunction of attempting to eat the foods suggested on MyPyramid. And as stated before I donít think I could go wrong with adding a fruit to the meal. (p 38-39)

I was really in the mood for salmon so I decide to place it on a bed of lettuce and tomatoes and cucumbers.

It was lunch time so I was reading up on my soaps.

Energized.

This was a great meal! I got to get my greens in (my salad) and I added Salmon which is a good source of vitamin B (p .263)

Yogurt contains probiotics (p.66) which help aid in the GI tract digestion process.

I didnít cook dinner, my fiancť cooked before I got home, so I ate whatever he made.

Random discussions about our day, work and things we need to accomplish

Heavy

Do you think this was a healthy thing to consume? Why or why not?
The turkey was a good source of protein. The green beans were a healthy choice, however the mac and cheese was something I could have done without. However the good part was the noodles were whole wheat. So I guess all in all it was a good meal. (p 214-217)

No this was not healthy, I could have went for the grapes but I decided aganist it.

The way I see it I am 35lb over weight and it stops today... My weight has been flip flopping for years and now it is getting over board. I try to workout of a regular basis but this just isn't enough. I have to by at 145 by Feb 27. So I am done playing games. I plan to continue to live my life but incorporate healthier food choices. My journey begins today!

Work ruins everything

I hadn't posted a blog in a very long time. Actually I really haven't used Sparks in a while. So over the past 3 weeks I have really gotten back in the swing of working out. I started out on long walks with the dog, running around in on the track. Exercise TV and now once I got back I started hitting the gym again. I wasn't working so I was able to spend 2 hours 5 days a week at the gym and I loved it. Now I am back to work and my body is feeling some kind of way about it. I am tired my eating is thrown off and I haven't hit the gym in a couple of days. Work is slow, you know first week blues so it just drags...... I just a a granola bar and a clementine... Oh I could sure use a Red Bull....

Let's see weight day is Friday, a little scared because of the whole pizza thing.... 2 slices of veggie only for me next time.... Like I said yesterday I am fasting so I decided to take meat out of the equation and only do it on the weekends (as part of my fast) I will get my protein so start yelling at me yet. So today I have a yogurt, bottle of water and an orange.. Yummy, for lunch I have a vegan bean burrito from this "Burrito Guy". I will get a salad and a cup a fruit.... Oh my workout was good, I increased my speed on the treadmill and added some more weight excerises into the mix... I have event on the 18th of April so we are going to get it right!!!

    I'm not skipping meals, some days I just get so busy that I don't eat a meal, however I keep fruit at my desk so I try to eat that.

Weekend Update

Monday, March 16, 2009

It's Monday!!! The weekend was ok, I tried to keep to my diet plans, I went off a a little but I will pay during the week. My boyfriends bday was Friday, I knew I was eating out so I tried to plan my food around my dinner plans. We went to the Cheesecake Factory and yes, I had half a cheesecake but like I said I factored that in early Friday. Plus I ate a salad while I was there! Saturday was good, I went out for lunch only eating half and ate the rest for dinner later that evening. Sunday was my bad day :-(. I had pizza... 4 slices, I know, I know, I feel so bad, but good news is that my church is having a fast starting today so I am giving up a couple of my favorites.. Red Meat, no eating after 9:00, fewer pastas (any suggestions let me know). So I think this will be a good way to drop some pounds. I am trying to get out of here to go to the gym, didn't get to go at lunch but I will be there after work. On a good note, I can already see the changes with my body. I am more confident, and my body is starting to look great!
