weekends are my downfall.

It was my birthday on Friday. I'm officially a quarter of a century old. And I had a moment yesterday where I was sitting at my kitchen table in tears over what I consumed in Saturday. I almost threw in the towel.... this losing weight thing is so hard.... my husband had terrible eating habits so he is still on the eating schedule I had when I was pregnant. I have a gym membership.... but no time to go. I finally packed all the kids and my husband up to go to the local YMCA... and they were closed. Despite being near tears... I did manage to pick myself up. It wasn't a total loss but I still are a bit too much last night... weekends kick my butt. It's Monday though... which means the focus is back. I'll be alright.

    First of all...happy belated birthday! Second, sounds like you're making strides in the right direction. I don't have a gym membership myself b/c I know I just don't have the time to get there, do a decent workout and get home (of course living in the sticks with the nearest gym being about 30 mins drive each way doesn't help either). However, I found another way to get my workouts in--this might be helpful to you if you find yourself too busy to drive to the gym. I go online to youtube, do a leslie sansone walking video and do 1-2 sparkpeople toning videos usually either during my youngest child's nap or after everyone is in bed b/c that is what works best for me.   Weekends are hard for me too! You are not alone! But I love your reminder of "Sometimes you have to get knocked down................" So true! but I can tell you are a food fighter and you will win!

    weekends are really hard for me also as well. I relate to that a lot. I would like to be 25 again. I am almost 39 years old. hope you had a happy brithday

After eating decent but a half pitcher of raspberry daiquiri... I gained 4 lbs. Just boo. Here's to picking myself up off the floor when all I really wanna do is eat an entire bag of jalapeno pizza rolls.

Somehow... I've lost quite a bit of weight in the past few days. I had a C-section on October 4th and since then I've lost more than 20lbs... yay water weight! So I went from my pregnancy weight of 290-295 (I can't remember exactly) down to 285.6 then weighed myself two days ago and was delighted to find I was down to 274.4 and today.... I'm at 268.8 I'm thinking that the past two days of dieting has helped me shed the extra water weight from the IV fluids and just pregnancy in general. And hopefully some real weight loss, too. Something about starting in the 260's and not the 280's is a huge weight off my shoulders. I'm still doing some research on exercise after a C-section... my doctor said I can judge for myself when the best time to start is. I don't know if that's a great idea... my first instinct when I got home from the hospital was to start doing laundry... So we shall see!

    It might be more than water weight. Glad you had a big drop in weight. Eat healthy and ease into exercises. Baby steps little Mommy. Take care!

Long time no see, sparkpeoples! I'm back with one more kid than I already had. (and a tubal.. so no more surprise pregnancies.)

Meet Cameron Alexander... our newest and final addition to our family. He's a doll and a great baby... during the day. lol.
So I gained back every bit of weight I lost last year. Sigh.... here we go again! So much for not over indulging in my pregnancy. Cameron is 10 days old and for the most part I feel fine... still a tad sore so no exercising for probably another week. The doctor said I should be fine with my own intuition... but since I feel better I started the calorie restrictions today... I'm cranky and hungry. That's to be expected, though. I remember a day I had 6 doughnuts in one day. It's time... lol
