Week 1 C25K

Today was week 1 day 1 of the c25k program. I had graduated from this program about a year and a half ago. This time around I walked and ran faster than the last time. I am determined to do it right this time. I will take my recovery days. And I will cool down and stretch each and every time i do it. I am older and wiser this time around. Hopefully, no injuries this time! emoticon emoticon

    Oh no, you got injured the last time you did C25K? I am doing it right now. I am about to start week 6 day 2 I think. I have to run 8 minutes next time I run. Running EIGHT minutes scares me. I am even more scared to day 3 which is TWENTY minutes. TWENTY minutes of straight running. EGADS. I wish us both luck on this. We got it!

5th day of no candy!

Today was the 5th day without candy. At this point I don't carve it. Yay!!

Today I worked out 68 minutes.

I biked, kick boxed, jump roped, and walked.

I hope I can continue to this at least 5 times a week!

I am hoping to stop drinking diet coke on March 1.

    Wonderful about no candy. That is awesome. Yea, I stopped the diet coke in August and I feel GREAT without it.

  Hey, well done!

Personally I think diet drinks are more noxious than candy and we'd all do well to swerve them completely.So the sooner you give them up the better.

No candy

This is the third day of no candy. I white knuckled it last night at work. This is a habit I have developed over the holidays. I would start my route with some M&M's, or some other candy. My reasoning is "it's for the energy." I have get some rice cakes, like I did when I lost 50 lbs. Tonight, I might take a stalk of celery with a little peanut butter on it. I will cut it into bite size pieces and take a plastic fork.....I will let you know how that goes. I think this just might work. Blogging my progress is helping, so this might become a little boring to read. Sorry! ;)

    Not boring at all. I know how much blogging helps, so keep it up!

Peanut butter and celery is very yum. I could totally see how that would help.

Also, berries, are my friend when it comes for needing sweet stuff. Good luck.

  ... or try eating it with chopsticks! I find I'm so hopeless with chopsticks it slows me down to at least a third of my normal rate of eating and I get full before I finish.

Hard month to give up candy

Of course, I had to wait for valentines day to decide to quit candy. It was starting to get out of control. I just can not have candy anywhere near me. I quit candy before, but it knows me by name. It just calls to me. I have to learn to resist. I have been craving it, I have none in the house. So I am blogging to get through the craving. I will probably be through the weekend before I stop craving it. I have to buy some Carmel flavored rice cakes, I think they might help. I am stronger than candy~I will defeat candy!

    Holidays always make everything so hard. Fruit use to help me, especially strawberries, don't know why. Be sure to check spark pages for other ways to calm sweet cravings. You can do this. emoticon emoticon

Feeling good February

This is the second day in a row of exercising! WooHoo! Yeah, right! I am so disgusted with myself. I get side lined with injuries (exercise related) and go into a food frenzy. My knee is feeling better, my ankle and calf are feeling better. I am trying to just bike for 30 minutes to regain my strength in my legs. I am sneaking in 100 jump ropes a day. If I feel any pain at all I will,stop the jumping and just bike. Spring is coming real soon and I won't be able to wear my camouflaging sweats and jackets! I need to get real serious!

The good thing is I am back on track with the exercise. Sunday, I plan on adding some ab work. I don't want to do so much that I am sore for 4 days. Nice and easy for the next couple of weeks! emoticon emoticon emoticon
