Tried and got it done

Yesterday I said I was going to try and workout. Well, I got it done. I did 36 minutes of various exercises and it felt so good. Today I biked 24 minutes with no knee or leg pain at all. I will continue to exercise but I will take it easy and build on it every day. I am so happy to be breaking a sweat again!

It is very early Sunday morning. Just in from work. I am going to try and do some sort of exercise today. I wil work on my abs, or do some arm exercises. Maybe some virtual hitting the heavy bag. I am going to "test" my ankle/calf and see if I can start jumping around again. It felt better today at work, so I am hoping to do something today. I promise to warm up and take it easy.     I hope you follow through on that. I used to be a tri-athete. I always found there was something you could do to work around an injury. On spark people I track things that aren't even exercises per say, like snow shovelling and up and down the stairs. It keeps me moving and that keeps me happier and gets me to my goal. And keeps me away from the fridge !! emoticon

Jump rope fact

I just read a spark people blog written by a personal trainer. She says that:
10 minutes of jump roping (at 120 turns a minute) burns the same calories as 30 minutes of jogging!

That sounds great to me. I am going to get serious about jump roping. emoticon

    I bought a jump rope a couple of years ago and have yet to use it! I really should get it out and make use of it. Thanks for a blog to hopefully push me to do it! Burn, burn, burn those calories!

  Isn't it funny... when we were kids we could jump rope for hours at a time... I was always a very "round" child but I could sustain... didn't think of it as exercise... and all those games where you had to run in and out of the rope without missing a link... stamina, timing, skill... where did it all go?

I think we discovered pop stars, make up, clothes and boys instead and used all our stamina, timing and skill on them!

Heel problem again

I wore the wrong shoes and hurt my heel again. I think the back of some shoes are too high for me and they hit my Achilles heel just right to hurt it. My left heel is the only one affected. Those shoes are now in the trash! I have been side lined from jump roping, but I am biking at least 10 minutes a day. I am taking it easy today, my hip is hurting due to arthritis, and tonight is a hard night at work.

Feeling great Tuesday

I had a whole blog written and it got lost. I was pretty good too. It just said how well I was feeling physically and mentally. I hope it lasts.

Thought I should do some strength training today, I usually don't but I need to add it to my workouts.

Today I:

Biked. 30 mins.
Resistance band workout. 40 mins
Jump roped. 9 min. 1079 emoticon
