Flu shot

Today I got my flu shot. I know it's kind of late, but I am such a procrastinator! I am not going to do any strenuous exercise today. I will do some arm exercises, that I was told would ease some soreness that would occur at the injection site.

Other than that I am really excited about jump roping. I have read that 20 minutes of jump roping burns more calories than 20 minutes of jogging! That sounds really awesome. So I am looking into jump rope workouts on the web, and it seems like the SparkPeople coach Nicole 10 minute workout is one of the best out there.

My recovery time between sets is getting shorter so that is really exciting for me. I am combining JR with walking or biking. It seems like a good winter combo for me.

Well, time for me to get in a short bike ride, and then some arm exercises.

Hope everyone is having an awesome day. Remember, exercising eases depression! Seems to be working for me!

  Does your rope have a counter or do you count them yourself as you go... which sounds to me like it would double the calorie burn for the mental energy required!

The YouTube virtual walk I took was filmed on Lake Samsone in Australia. It is 40 minutes long and I walked 40 minutes. It is a very nice hike thru the woods with birds chirping and the sun coming thru the trees. I will be walking with it again very soon.

Today I biked 11.11 miles in 60 minutes

Today, I felt great! Everything is going well.

I did a virtual walk that was filmed on Lake Samsonvale, Australia. A hike really, it was filmed in the woods next to a lake just as the sun was going down. This was on YouTube.

did 1043 jumpropes in 8 minutes, of course it was broken up by minute intervals

total miles walked in 2013: 8
total jumps for January 2013: 1443

i find this is a good place for me to log my progress, and keeps me accountable. emoticon

Seems like a nice habit I am getting into. I hope I can keep it up. I force myself to get into my workout clothes. But once I get warmed up, I start to enjoy myself.
