new GPS watch

Monday, March 25, 2013

I have been missing in action for a bit. Saturday was my BD. I am 59 years old now. Counting down to 60, and I am excited. Don't know why, but I am. I got a GPS watch a Garmin Forerunner 110. Couldn't get the 10 but the 110 is awesome. I love it! I tried it out on a Daisy walk and it shows everything! Even the temperature! I have a feeling I am going to use this every day! Have an awesome week, and stay healthy! emoticon emoticon

Second run/walk of the year

Monday, March 18, 2013

I kept track of my run today. I actually went a little faster this time. I also ran further! I don't know if i am going to keep on track with the C25K. I think I like running on my own schedule. I love running outside with Daisy. I am going to get a GPS watch for my bd next week! I will have to think real hard on the C25K. decisions, decisions! I will think about it tonite at work lol!! ;) But I will definetly keep running. I see the changes beginning to happen so I am very happy right now. Hugs everyone, peace

PS: I actually ran about 1/2 a mile straight today! I haven't done that in years! emoticon

Yay!! Sounds excellent!! And very inspiring!! When our weather stays dry & somewhat warm, I'll try throwing in a weekly outdoor run and/or walk to change up my mostly strength training routines. emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

first outside run/walk of the year

Friday, March 15, 2013

Today was just so beautiful, that I just had to go for a walk with the dog, Daisy. I just threw on her harness, the only one I could find and snapped it on her and left the house. I really was just going for a walk, but it turned into a run/walk. It was great, I felt great! I have to leave the house a little earlier, because it got really dark and scary. But not scary enough to stop! Funny thing about Daisy, she hates to walk but loves to run!

So far so good. Staying on track. No injuries, staying braced up. Warming up, cooling down and stretching part of the whole package. Have a great Friday!

I did not want to workout today. I just want to do my running program every other day. Today I made myself get on the recumbent bike while watching a dvr of the Biggest Loser lol! I was inspired by the contestants and my spark friends. I biked 30 minutes. I have no soreness from the running. I have learned the hard way that cooling down and stretching is absolutely necessary. Plus I just add that time to my fitness minutes.

And the big surprise is that I have had not one piece of candy since Valentine's Day! It was very easy. The hard thing to do is stopping Diet Coke. But I am eating more veggies, more healthy foods. Not going out to eat or bringing in fast food. I feel stronger and more toned. I haven't lost weight but my jeans do feel looser. . I have fallen in love with baby carrots!

Way to go for your progress with food, especially no candies since Valentine's Day, WooHoo!

I think I'm starting to get addicted with Ice Blended Double Chocolate! I don't drink coffee coz I get headache when I drink it but at office, when I started to feel tired/sleepy, I buy a small or medium size.

First of all, I love that Adorable pic!! And way to go on all of your clean eating progress! We've both got that in common! I've finally adjusted my eating habits to my choices being mostly fuel for my intense workouts! I was told in the past that my eating was my downfall (I think I kept the appetite of a twin pregnancy for a couple of extra years)! And u also made a great choice with the recumbent bike while watching Biggest Loser! I love that show!! Its so inspiring! Anyway, keep up the EXCELLENT work!! Have a Great evening! emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon
