well things are pretty much were they were lasy week.........knees are swelling off and on also have a bit of pain off and on...........so am trying to manage the pain better with attempting to take the medication preventively instead of waiting for the pain and than its so bad nothing helps.................have been resting ,elevatingand icing as needed,so the unpacking will have to wait a little longer...........i'm ok with that......................i'm still in the pool about 2 hrs /day as thats still the best place for me,no pain there and it helps give me the mobility for the rest of the day.............the weight loss seems to be at a standstill,but i suspect it is because of the swelling off and on.............the drs are aware and know my activity level,so will just continue on like the turtle and will eventually get there...................the lesson here is" patience".....................i hope i'm learning it well enough to move on to the next phase whatever that is...................whenever it comes......................i am ready...............

    Hi, LindasBaby: Had LapBand 3-04, lost 160 lbs and happy with that. Stay strong and keep up with the exercise and water therapy as much as possible. Hope you live in warm weather. I had both knees replaced but not at the same time. You had more nerve than I did. Drink protein drinks for extra strength. I am not on line a lot but I will catch up with you. Keep up the good work and talk with you later.

well things have been interesting to say the least............we have moved to a condo ................."no stairs"..........the packing and unpacking have taken a toll on the knees...........some pain and swelling noted,so am back to rest,ice and elevate..............am still going to the pool,the only place where things seem to get better somehow!!!!!! and the agravation is less on the knees.........
also lost the use of my computor with the move and did not expect that...........thats why this is a little late in coming,also our router decided to crash so the computor problem just became bigger and very sporatic for me to get on line...........i sure did miss my computor buddies..........................when you lose something it gives you a greater appreciation of what you have lost when you get it back................."thanks so much" for all the support and cheering from all of my computor buddies..........
THAT'S WHAT KEEPS ONE GOING ...............HAVING SUCH FANTASTIC PEOPLE OUT THERE TO UP LIFT US IN OUR MOMENTS OF NEED,AND HELP US REACH JUST A LITTLE HIGHER THAN BEFORE....................THANKS AND HUGS TO ALL.....................LITA

    Ouch!!! I had to give up Bowling on account of my knees..they would get to hurting so bad that I would have ice packs on them while in between bowling just to deaden the pain a little...I went to the Doctor and they did MRI/Cat Scan what ever they did and told me nothing was wrong....so at that point I figured maybe God was just telling me to stop!!

I sure hope you get to feeling better...i know how them knees are!!

looks like this has become my part-time job"TAKING CARE OF ME".............so far so good,have managed to get back on track fairly quickly after the surgery............still not quite there yet,but by the end of the month i exoect to be there and then some.............i'm now walking more,have added biking to the mix and of course the pool..............its still the best overall...........there is just no pain there and one deosn't sweat like with land exercises............and you don't feel like your working hard...............but of course you are!!!!!have lost another pound this week.........so am feeling really great..........HUGS AND MANY MANY THANKS TO ALL.......... for all the help and support i have received so far ...............whether on the teams,postings and blogs..................

well here we are in septemberalready,it hard to believe.............we just celebrated our 38th wedding aniversary,where oh where do the years go............i'm back to being where i was before the surgery almost....................................
........with the exercise,but i have added some changes to jazz things up a bit.............weekdays i do pool work,walk and do the bike thing....................weekends will do the pool..............so for now am exercising 2hr/day/7days/week...................have lost another pound this week.................also found out a can't do marathons till next year,so will start to train slowly and who knows maybe a can enter something shorter,that will help challenge myself for the longer haul.........................
i'm doing different virtual challenges like walking around scotland and england,and the oregan trail.plus i walked around vancouver island where i live................i'm managing to get 20,000-26,000 steps in /day ............just figured that out and can't beleive but it works out to be 10/13 miles/day..............i sure wish sparkpeople would have some of these virtual walks,it adds a different dimention and motivation to the exercise routine................ .........hugs to all.........................lita
