Did Anyone Ever Tell You.................

Saturday, January 24, 2009

Hello everyone

Did Anyone Ever Tell You,

Just How Special You Are

The Light that You Emit

Might even Light a Star

Did Anyone Ever Tell You that

Many Times When They were Sad

You made Them Smile a bit

In Fact It made Them Glad

For the Time You Spend Sending Things

And Sharing whatever You Find

There are No Words to Thank You

But Somebody, Thinks You're Fine

Did Anyone Ever Tell You

Just How Much They Like You

Well, My Dearest Friend

Today I am Telling You

I believe that without a
friend you are missing out on a lot!!!
Don't be confused by friends and
acquaintances, there is a difference!

Have a nice day, and I'm glad we are friends!!!

THIS IS A HAND OF FRIENDSHIP

FRIENDSHIP IS CONTINUOUS

THIS IS PART OF A CHALLENGE I'M DOING ON ONE OF THE TEAMS I'M ON...............

2-do 2 hrs everyday except monday as have a dental appoint for a bridge
3-continue with tracking food and exercise...................
4-my challenge is to stay focused and work through the pain as long as it is manageable...............
5-i am proud that in view of everything i'm still here and have not given up
6-will be seeing the endocrinologist on friday and hoping for some answers..........

hope you are all having a great weekend......................blessings and hugs................lita

january thoughts.....

Sunday, January 18, 2009

“We spend January 1st walking through our lives, room by room,
drawing up a list of work to be done, cracks to be patched. Maybe
this year, to balance the list, we ought to walk through the rooms
of our lives... not looking for flaws, but for POTENTIAL.”
~Ellen Goodman

just saw this quote and thought it worth sharing....................blessings and hugs................lita

I agree if we should spend more time on building up ourselves instead of tearing ourselves down can you imagine what we could accomplish in our lives?

A WOMAN SHOULD HAVE

Thursday, January 15, 2009

Someone sent this to me when I was going through some hard times with our journey . I hope it gives you a *spark* of strength like it did for me :o)

A WOMAN SHOULD HAVE

one old love
she can imagine
going back to...and one who reminds
her how far she has come...

enough money within her
control to move out and
rent a place of her own
even if she never wants
to or needs to...

something perfect to wear if
the employer
or date of her dreams
wants to see her in an hour.

a youth she's content
to leave behind....a past juicy enough that
she's looking forward to
retelling it
in her old age....

a set of screwdrivers, a
cordless drill, and a black lace bra...

one friend who always makes
her laugh...and one who lets her cry...

a good piece of furniture
not previously owned by anyone
else in her family...

eight matching plates, wine
glasses with stems, and a recipe
for a meal that will make her
guests feel honored.

a feeling of control over
her destiny...

EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW...

how to fall in love without
losing herself.

HOW TO QUIT A JOB,
BREAK UP WITH A LOVER,
AND CONFRONT A FRIEND
WITHOUT RUINING THE FRIENDSHIP...

when to try harder ... and
WHEN TO WALK AWAY...

that she can't change the
length of her calves, the width
of her hips, or the nature of her
parents....

that her childhood may not
have been perfect...but it's over...

what she would and wouldn't
do for love or more...

how to live alone ... even if
she doesn't like it..

whom she can trust,
whom she can't,
and why she shouldn't
take it personally...

where to go...
be it to her best friend's
kitchen table...
or a charming inn in the woods...
when her soul needs soothing

what she can and can't
accomplish in a day...
a month...
and a year.

am still awaitng to see two more dr's sometime before the end of the month.....am hoping i will have some answers soon........... ......i continue to work through the pain some days are better than others of course........one day at a time...............
blessings and hugs.....................lita

I've seen this, love it and I think it is soooooo true. Women should be a little more prepared than men just because we are more often targets than men. Good words Lita!

Get on with life

Saturday, January 10, 2009

Get on with life

Some people are not going to like you no matter what you do or what you say. Get over it and get on with life.
Some of your efforts are not going to bring the results you were after. Accept it and find another approach.

Occasionally you'll be distracted and knocked off course for a while. On a regular basis, life will have its disappointments.

Those disappointments and distractions do not have to stop you. In fact, you can choose to let them inspire you and to push you forward.

No matter what has just happened, you are free in this moment to act with positive purpose. Whether the past has worked in your favor or not, the future is yours to create as you wish.

Life is too important to waste it feeling sorry for yourself or beating yourself up. Get up and get on with life, and make it match your highest expectations.

Breaking a habit starts with courage..............

Thursday, January 01, 2009

I saw this recently, and would like to share it with you.

I am your constant companion.
I am your greatest asset or heaviest burden.
I will push you up to success or down to disappointment.
I am at your command.
Half the things you do might just as well be turned over to me,
For I can do them quickly, correctly, and profitably.
I am easily managed, just be firm with me.
Those who are great, I have made great.
Those who are failures, I have made failures.
I am not a machine, though I work with the precision of a
machine and the intelligence of a person.
You can run me for profit, or you can run me for ruin.
Show me how you want it done. Educate me. Train me.
Lead me. Reward me.
And I will then...do it automatically.
I am your servant.
Who am I?
I am a habit.

The author of the above is unknown, but the words are right on target. If you make good habits, they in turn will make you. But like the weeds in the garden, bad habits can take over your life. Make a decision today to pull those weeds. But the benefits to your health and to your attitude can be priceless. Breaking a habit starts with courage, ends with discipline, and is fueled by desire.

wishing everyone the best of 2009.........................blessings and hugs...................lita

Excellent little poem and insight. Whether your garden has weeds or flowers depends fully on perception. Wishing you a wonderful 2009 full of success and happiness! emoticon
