You are unique
Think what a remarkable, unduplicatable, and miraculous thing it is to be you!
Of all the people who have come and gone on the earth, since the beginning of time, not one of them is like you!
No one who has ever lived or is to come has had your combination of abilities, talents, appearance, friends, acquaintances, burdens, sorrows and opportunities.
No one’s hair grows exactly the way yours does. No one’s finger prints are like yours. No one has the same combination of secret inside jokes and family expressions that you know.
The few people who laugh at all the same things you do, don’t sneeze the way you do. No one prays about exactly the same concerns as you do. No one is loved by the same combination of people that love you—no one!
No one before, no one to come. You are absolutely unique!
Enjoy that uniqueness. You do not have to pretend in order to seem more like someone else.
You weren’t meant to be like someone else. You do not have to lie to conceal the parts of you that are not like what you see in anyone else.
You were meant to be different. Nowhere ever in all of history will the same things be going on in anyone’s mind, soul and spirit as are going on in yours right now.
If you did not exist, there would be a hole in creation, a gap in history, something missing from the plan for humankind.
Treasure your uniqueness. It is a gift given only to you. Enjoy it and share it!
No one can reach out to others in the same way that you can. No one can speak your words.
No one can convey your meanings. No one can comfort with your kind of comfort. No one can bring your kind of understanding to another person.
No one can be cheerful and light-hearted and joyous in your way. No one can smile your smile.
No one else can bring the whole unique impact of you to another human being.
Share your uniqueness. Let it be free to flow out among your family and friends and people you meet in the rush and clutter of living wherever you are. That gift of yourself was given you to enjoy and share. Give yourself away!
See it! Receive it! Let it tickle you! Let it inform you and nudge you and inspire you! You are unique.

What do angels look like?
Like the little old lady who returned your wallet yesterday.
Like the taxi driver who told you that
your eyes light up the world, when you smile.
Like the small child who showed you
the wonder in simple things.
Like the poor man who offered
to share his lunch with you.
Like the rich man who showed you it
really is all possible, if only you believe.
Like the stranger who just happened to come along,
when you had lost your way.
Like the friend who touched your heart,
when you didn't think you had one left to touch.
Angels come in all sizes and shapes,
All ages and skin types.
Some with freckles, some with dimples,
some with wrinkles, some without.
They come disguised as friends, enemies,
teachers, students, lovers and fools.
They don't take life too seriously,
They travel light.
They leave no forwarding address,
They ask for nothing in return.
They wear sneakers with gossamer wings,
They get a deal on dry cleaning.
They are hard to find when your eyes are closed, But
They are everywhere you look when you choose to see.

TODAY'S THE DAY
“It’s not that some people have will power and some don’t. It’s that some people
are ready to change and others are not." James Gordon, M.D.
Today make a commitment to live in the moment and be the artist of your exceptional, more purposeful, and significant life. Always remember that you are the artist and you have the freedom to paint the portrait of your existence in any way you wish. There are endless possibilities for your life. Within you lies the power to create the life you desire.
Today I will delete from my diary two days:
yesterday and tomorrow...
Yesterday was to learn and tomorrow will be
the consequence of what I can do today.
Today I will face life with the conviction
that this day will not ever return.
Today is the last opportunity I have to live intensely,
as no one can assure me that I will see tomorrow's sunrise.
Today I will be brave enough not to let any opportunity pass me by,
my only alternative is to succeed.
Today I will invest my most valuable resource:my time,
in the most transcendental work: my life.
Today I will spend each minute passionately to make
of today a different and unique day in my life.
Today I will defy every obstacle that appears
on my way, trusting that I will succeed.
Today I will resist pessimism and will conquer the world with a smile,
with the positive attitude of expecting always the best.
Today I will make of every ordinary task
a sublime expression.
Today I will have my feet on the ground, understanding reality
and the stars' gaze to invent my future.
Today I will take the time to be happy and
will leave my footprints and my presence in the hearts of others.
Today, I invite you to begin a new season where we can dream
that everything we undertake is possible and
we fulfill it, with joy and dignity.

The Three Trees
Once there were three trees on a hill in the
woods.. They were discussing their hopes and dreams when the first tree said, 'Someday I hope to be a treasure chest.
I could be filled with gold, silver and precious gems. I could be decorated with intricate carving and everyone would see the beauty.'
Then the second tree said, 'Someday I will be
a mighty ship. I will take Kings and queens across the waters and sail to the corners of the world. Everyone will feel safe in me because of the strength of my hull.'
Finally the third tree said, 'I want to grow
to be the tallest and straightest Tree in the forest. People will see me on top of the hill and look up to my branches, and think of the heavens and God and how close to them I am reaching. I will be the greatest tree of all time and people will always remember me.'
After a few years of praying that their dreams
would come true, a group of woodsmen came upon the trees.
When one came to the first tree he said, 'This looks
like a strong tree, I think I should be able to sell the wood to a carpenter', and he began cutting it down. The tree was happy, because he knew that the carpenter would make him into a treasure chest.
At the second tree the woodsman said, 'This
looks like a strong tree. I should be able to sell it to the shipyard.' The second tree was happy Because he knew he was on his way to becoming a mighty ship.
When the woodsmen came upon the third tree, the
tree was frightened because he knew that if they cut him down his dreams would not come true. One of the woodsmen said, 'I don't need anything special from my tree,I'll take this one', and he cut it down.
When the first tree arrived at the carpenters, he
was made into a feed box for animals.. He was then placed in a barn and filled with hay. This was not at all what he had prayed for.
The second tree was cut and made into a small
fishing boat. His dreams of being a mighty ship and carrying kings had come to an end.
The third tree was cut into large pieces, and
left alone in the dark.
The years went by, and the trees forgot about
Then one day, a man and woman came to the barn.
She gave birth and they placed the baby in the hay in the feed box that was made from the first tree. The man wished that he could have made a crib for the baby, but this manger would have to do. The tree could feel the importance of this event and knew that it had held the greatest treasure of all
Years later, a group of men got in the fishing
boat made from the second tree. One of them was tired and went to sleep. While they were out on the water, a great storm arose and the tree didn't think it was strong enough to keep the men safe. The men woke the sleeping man, and He stood and said 'Peace' and the storm stopped. At this time, the tree knew that it had carried the King of Kings in its boat.
Finally, someone came and got the third tree. It
was carried through the streets as the people mocked the man who was carrying it. When they came to a stop, the man was nailed to the tree and raised in the air to die at the top of a hill.. When Sunday came, the tree came to realize that it was strong enough to stand at the top of the hill and be as close to God as was possible, because Jesus had been crucified on it.
The moral of this story is that when things
don't seem to be going your way, always know that God has a bigger plan for you. If you place your trust in Him,
God will give you great gifts that you can share with others.
Each of the trees got what they wanted, just not
in the way they had imagined.
We don't always know what God's plans are
for us. We just know that His Ways are not always our ways, but His ways are always what is best for us.
May your day be blessed. And until we meet again,
may God cradle you in the palm of His hand.
enjoy the spring weather......
wishing you and yours all the blessings of Easter......
