So today was the end of week 2. I lost 2.5lbs; half of what I lost the first week. I was a little bummed out but I have to just remind myself that a pound lost is a pound lost. Even if I don't "win" this week's weigh-in ... I'm still winning in my overall success. Some weeks aren't going to be quite as much as I hope for but I need to stick with my program to see the long term benefits.

On a similar note - I've decided that I need to up my energy level when I play Just Dance. I've begun to realize that when a song is played that I don't really care for, my energy level drops. A lot. So on those songs, I'm not going to focus on doing a "half-assed" attempt at the movements but jump around and get my heart rate going - screw the points. I just wish there was a "skip" function once in non-stop shuffle mode. Oh, well.

Feb. Goals - check in

So my goals are:
1. Drink more water
2. Workout 3x/week
3. Track my nutrition and fitness

Here's how I'm doing:
1. I am drinking at least 8 glasses every day. I usually drink the majority while at work which I think is leading people to believe I'm pregnant again with how many bathroom breaks I take. Oh, well!
2. I am doing really well with this one still. I workout about 4x during the week and at least once over the weekend. I'm addicted to our new Wii. Hopefully I don't grow tired of it...
3. I'm doing okay with this one as well. I find it easier when we create meals off of SP so that I don't have to track every ingredient - but I will if that's what it takes. It made me see that I was cutting back too much. I need to add a few more carbs back into my diet and up my calories if I'm going to keep pushing as hard as I am.

We'll see what tomorrow's weigh-in brings. I'm super nervous this week. I knew I had lost weight last week so I was confident going into it. But because I lost 5lbs last week, I'm scared to see that I either only lost 1lb or that I didn't lose any. Oh, and if I ended up gaining .... I don't know what I'd do. Trying not to focus on it too much. Tonight's workout will be intense though - last chance workout :)

  Great....I too drink water at work....but dont have to go to the bathroom as often anymore as I did in the beginning

Today was our first week weigh-in at work for our "Biggest Loser" competition. I lost 5lbs in the first week!! I was so nervous going into it because I knew I had put in some solid effort and I didn't want to leave deflated. I am so happy that my numbers reflected my initial efforts.

I know that I'll hit plateaus and that it will get harder and harder but to start off strong really helps my confidence.

    No, only one person sees it. We do the weigh-ins in an empty office. So it's just you and the one gal that keeps track for everyone. No weights are ever given. At the end, it will only be percentages lost, not even pounds.

Trust me, if it were out in the open, I would do it either! I like a little competition though, so that's what got me going this time around. Oh, and the top male and female each get $75 cash :)

Portion control, here I come! I've decided to tackle these 6/7 small meals a day and see what it does to metabolism.

7:00 - Breakfast
9:00 - Morning snack: fruit
11:00 - Lunch
1:00 - Afternoon snack: veggie
3:00 - Pre-dinner snack: dairy/carb
5:00 - Dinner
7:00 - "Dessert": Only as "needed"

Does anyone else have a meal plan/routine like this? Does it work? I did it yesterday and I was amazed at how little I was able to eat for dinner and not be hungry. Now, when I say that. I still ate. I didn't starve myself. But, I didn't overeat or eat mutliple servings either.

It takes 21 days to create a habit ... here's to February!!

    Sounds like a great plan. I tend to eat on normal days like that. I don't have sugar crashes or feel bleah because I have enough food in me at all times. I prefer smaller meals.

How is it that we are already through 1/12 of this year!? I feel like I just "officially" started my new life a week ago and time is already "running out!" Oh, well. No looking back, right? I've been reading a lot of inspirational blogs on SP and decided that I need to start doing monthly goals as a way to keep myself in check.

So ... for February, here is what I have come up with:

1. Workout 3x/week. I'm hoping to do my NEW Wii :) those days and still do some light stretching/sit-ups the other days.

2. Drink Water! I'm doing really well at work but once I get home, I just stop drinking. By the end of the month, I need to be up to 2 glasses at home.

3. Track my nutrition. Oh, my gosh ... I can't believe what I was eating before!! Never again. I have been finding amazing new recipes at www.skinnytaste.com as well as here on SP.

Only 28 days, starting tomorrow. That's not so bad. I think I can, I think I can ...
