So I finished the 4-day "cleanse", lost 6 lbs, and then went back to a somewhat normal diet. I ate red meat, I'm back on alcohol, and yesterday's dinner, although still well under my calorie requirement, consisted only of fried foods. Hmmm...
I feel bloated and overall yucky. Especially after the Tento's red meat dinner. That was an eye-opener.
I really was starting to enjoy the salt-free taste of things. Who would have ever thought that? I am such a salt fiend.
So Peter and I are going to modify our eating to stay closer to the 4-day cleanse program. We both agree that we feel better, have more energy, and didn't feel deprived. So I will check out some of the recipes in the book and work them in to the rotation. I'll let you know how it goes.
