Hi all my sparkle friends! Thank you so much to everyone on here who helped me reach my goal - you are all one fabulous family of support! Let's celebrate with a big pool party 4/29!
I remember when I signed on, I had bought the PINK Method program and was frustrated with their crappy web site and found this amazing web site nutrition tracker and then got hooked and met my best friend Hawaiianmama - we went for a walk on PB boardwalk and from then on we've been friends. If if wasn't for her I never would have made it - THANK YOU MALIA!!!!!!!!
I want to thank all the wonderful people on Team San Diego - you all have been so helpful and such FUN folks to be with and so motivational - THANKS.
I also want to give a shout out to Ricochetbear - what a wonderful and supportive person you are - thank you so much for all your wonderful words of support! You are a truly amazing person and such a motivator for keeping our original "week team" together after all these weeks with words of wisdom and support - THANK YOU.
And a fabulous thank you to Mexigal - girlfriend you made me smile so many times with your fun stories and pics of a land that looks so magical - I want to come visit some day. Oh and plus you look so glam! You are an inspiration for sure!
And to oh so many of you - I know I can't name all of you individually, but rest assured you each played a role in my ability to reach my goal weight of 145 (actually one pound under - lol) - woo hoo!
So now I am officially 5'11", 145 lbs - 50, fit and fabulous (well maybe not so terribly fit, but fabulous all the same - hahahahaha)
Anyway - THANK YOU all of you - I couldn't have done it without you!!!

Hi Sparkle friends! I stepped on the scale this morning and was so happily surprised to see that I had lost another 2 lbs and now I'm only 2 lbs from my original goal weight of 146 - wooo hoo!! That would be 20 lbs by 4/12 - I think I'll actually make the cut - wooo hoo! How fabulous!
I want to celebrate with a big pool party too - I put the idea of a pool party on the San Diego Team page, but it seems like ever since I told ya'll that I was going to hang back from spark ya'll don't seem to chat as much - what has happened? Did ya'll decide to pull back at the same time too?
Maybe I can get you all to come to the pool party and chat and have fun and get back into sparking?
Or maybe its just all these clouds we've been having in sunny san diego - lol?
Well anyway - just wanted to stop in and say hi and let's celebrate!

Hey everyone - how are ya'll doing? I sure hope you're all making progress and having fun doing it too! I'm doing great, having fun with all my sewing projects. I've made one super fun maxi dress made of psychadelic green & purple & white circles in a really "wow" pattern - I love it, so that was a fun project. Then I made a really pretty ruffle collar blouse, using just my imagination to come up with the pattern design - and that was a very creative project. I'm also still working on my red maxi dress that is my "final project" for my sewing class. This weekend my friend & I are going to the swap meet to search for more items for sewing.
Now for all my sparkles on here I saw an episode of Dr. Oz that had the coolest & most amazing microwave muffin recipe that only takes 55 seconds to make - so I played with the recipe and made a chocolate muffin from it - and YES it is good! So I want each of you to give it a try! See if you like it! It is so darn easy to make and kind of bizarre how it works - you can twist it up and make a lot of different flavors too! Here is the recipe:
1/4 cup ground flax seed (avail at henry's very cheap)
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp coconut oil (henry's has this too, it is white & solid)
2 tsp cinnamon ( I used 2 tsp cocoa powder, you could use variety of flavors)
1 pkt stevia (single serve size, like truvia)
Place ingredients in a coffee mug, stir w/fork, place in microwave on high for
55 seconds. Turn coffee cup over and voila muffin is made - ha!
It is a little on the dry side so it is best served with some fat free cream cheese or a little butter or peanut butter, whatever you like. It has very few calories - all of them are good for you calories and it only takes 55 seconds for a healthy snack or breakfast!
Pretty cool, eh? Try it - you might like it!

Hi All My Sparkle Friends...
I'm feeling a bit better today and am awake and alive. Spent the whole day in bed yesterday, slept most of the time. When I signed on here this morning I read a few blogs and realized I haven't exercised in over a week, haven't been tracking food for that long either, I haven't really been staying true to Spark for awhile. Maybe its time for me to cut back on Spark. I've gotten a lot out of this wonderful tool and have certainly lost my horrible "muffin top" - yeah!!!! And of course have met all of my wonderful "spark friends" - and wish all of you the best. But I think I'm going to cut back on how often I sign on here. I don't think I'm going to be signing on every day like I have been. I think my time is better spent doing my sewing, and my other stuff around the house. This Spark stuff does take quite a chunk of time. Now that's not to say I won't come on every now and then and say hi and check in to see how ya'll are doin- I want to see you all succeed for sure. But I guess I just feel guilty if I don't sign in everyday, and to be honest I'm feeling more and more like I don't have that kind of time. So my dear friends... I'm letting you know I'm going to be cutting back. I wish you all the best though and will chat with you every now and then. Ciao - KD

I've been busy sewing with my new friend from sewing class - made 3 new tops and cut out 2 new maxi-dresses, they're ready to sew now. Still working on my big project for class. But over the weekend my gf cought a cold and now 3 days later, I fear I have the same thing - so I'm heading into bed with aspirin, lots of water, some homemade veggie soup and lots of lifetime TV drama - LOL! That'll put me to sleep for sure. Anyway, I need to take care of me more than blog on here - so my spark friends take care and keep on Sparking. Ciao - KD
