Took a day off..

Yeah i dont believe in free days anymore, but yeterday I felt like being a little piglet, so i was. I watched some dexter and made out wedding programs, and had a coke and some sour cream and onion chips.

the best part was there was no guilt for once... i may have just crossed over the border on the obsession with food and my emotions,,, normally I would really, really over eat, and then feel bad for the next few days,, but I really wasnt all that bad, and I know what real progress I have made....

Today however is not a free day, I am paying for the rest of the wedding stuff today minus a few small things, i am picking out flower girl dresses, I am planning the rehersal, meeting with the flower lady, meeting with my tainer, tanning, cleaning the bath rooms, going shopping, to the bank,, the dentist, and a few more errands to boot,,, maybe i need two days to accomplish all of this,,,

I might not be so overwhelmed had i been planning the wedding a little smarter,, its a little over a month away and I have something to do everyday,,, but I can't tell you how excited I am that it is finally happening!!! we have been together for 7 years, so we thought we would just make it official... But it has become so much more since that point, and we can afford to have the little girl dreams i had for my wedding day, or really close to that dream anyway,, well enough blogging, i so have so much to do!!!! emoticon emoticon

Brackets

i am moving out of the healthy lifestyle realm today, and moving into the world of college basketball. Every year i watch all the games i possibly can. I know stats, I know players, I know teams. I am like the walking ESPN around March Madness. I spend hours creating my brackets, and I get all excited for the first week. By the end of the weekend my brackets are all busted. Thats fine , because teams change mentality when comes down to crunch time.

So at my job we have a bracket challenge going on, and for all of us who spent the time on the brackets, all is lost, except for one. this person doesnt even watch basketball. she chose her teams based on colors and names, and I am not exaggerating..... Well she is about to win 500$. How about that? Whatever...

Anyway, back to the mentality. Teams spend the entire season working hard, or going through their struggles, and that can relate to us. Me for example. The past year I have bounced around on and off. Up and down on the scale. Now it is crunch time for that dress that i now fit into, now is my time to shine like the person I know I am. My mentality has changed , and i can now clearly see the goals in fornt of me like a tournament win. We can work towards the goal all year, we can have an off day, we can have an off week, but when it comes down to it, we should be able to or at least learn to show who we are with flying colors and work toward the goals like the cindarella teams we are! When we see the dreams moving closer and closer with every win it changes mentality and creates a drive that is what sparkpeople is all about...

The Hangover

Have you ever seen the the movie " The Hangover" ? That was my weekend. One of my closest friends got married this weekend, and it was a beautiful crazy, weekend. but now it is time to get back to work. i meet with my trainer at 9:45, and I made him promise to go easy on the legs. Not only did I have a hangover, and my hotel room looked like a scene from the movie, but I think my body was hungover from over doing the work out on Friday. I couldnt move for two days, and yesterday was the first day I could walk without pain, The trainer and others says its good for me,,, but seriously, there is no need for me to walk like grandma for three days in order to feel like a million bucks down the road, and that is only if I stick with the program,,, Or maybe I was sore due to the fact that I proceeded to add wine in excess to my already over worked body , afterwards,, I don't.. all I know is, is that I have learned my lesson, and it will never happen again..

Moving on to my wedding, I havent posted it yet, but I only have 13 more to lose,,, And i think like10 to lose to be at a "healthy weight". I am tired of being the chunky one on the Wii Fit. I just realized that the last time I was at this weight was about two years before my daughter, which was the last real time I was in a swimsuit. My goal was the wedding, but now that I have seen the change, I actually think that my goal is going to be stretched out to like August, I want to get there and maintain for a year,, I think maintaining would be the heardest, becuase not only have you adapted a lifestyle, but now you are trying to keep a healthy balance of everything to go with it,,,,

    Congrats on the weight loss. I revised my goal and have about 10 or 12 more pounds to go. They are coming off slow though. I am a little anxious about the maintenance but all we can do is our best.

You have been a real trooper with your trainer. I hope you see great results for all your hard work.

    Sometimes my life FEELS like the Hangover! I just wanted to say good for you with meeting with your trainer - I find it really hard to get myself motivated after a debauchery filled weekend.

And your legs will start to recover... eventually!

I always work on Friday,, today though I am going to a wedding and having a night out, so TGIF!

i worked out this morning with my trainer, and had a good breakfast and stretched, but once i get to the wedding, there will be no worries on the diet..

Its my friends wedding so I will get to see what I should be doing, and get some ideas hopefully for my own thing.

Oh my best news of the day. we are getting the jacuzzi later tonight so I had to buy a swimsuit today,, there was a little trepidation, but then I actually bought a two piece, and it looks great. I think I might make it a half way after picture!!! Well everyone enjoy the weekend!!! emoticon emoticon

Thursday and I are not friends

On thursday I work a double at my job. the place with the cheese fries.

So if I don't get up early enough, I miss out on all of things I have to do for the day, working out, and having a timely breakfast. If i do wake up early enough, I am exhausted half way through my day, and only a five hour power helps. God bless those little bottles of energy. They are small, they basically have no calories, and 5 minutes later , its like I am awake. Back to the day, either way something happens along the line which is not beneficial to the diet and exercise usually, but today will be different. Last night I was in bed at 9 ( crazy early for me), I was up at 7 ready to go for the day , I have already had breakfast, and I am about to hop on the treadmill. So hopefully good sleep wins the day and I make lots of $ at work,,,,:)
