Feeling good today,,,

Got back to the gym with my trainer. Felt so good, to hit the bag today. Afterwards, I had a giant lunch of chicken and veggies, and a protein shake. Why do protein shakes taste so,,, yucky,,, I'll find one that works one day i suppose. the absolute worst is the muscle milk strawberry. Worst investment in my life,, next to the UGA shirt I was forced to buy for a friend.

I now have 1 month and 15 days!!! I took the dress to be altered and taken in, but the final alterations will not happen until a week before! I so excited about putting it all together really soon. I have now paid for just about everything, and most of the planning is finished.... All I have left is the DJ, the Cake, and the florist,, and then I could can start keeping my money again.. Who knew weddings could be so expensive? Especially if your footing the bill and not the folks as is tradition. I like the fact however, that i did this, just like I have supported myself in every aspect since 18. but no finally instead of an I, it will be a we, and I can't wait!

    Glad to hear you got back with the trainer today!

I have a protein shake almost every morning for breakfast. I buy the Spiru-tein Vanilla protein complex from a health food store. I mix it with 1/2c water, a couple ice cubes, 5 or 6 fresh or frozen strawberries, 1/4c blueberries, and a fresh banana. Add in 3/4 tsp. of Flax seed oil, and 1 tsp of apple juice and 1 tsp. of whole psyllium husks. It's about 200 calories depending on how many strawberries I add. I find it pretty filling, and the vanilla hides nicely with the berries! The days I don't start with that (like today) I miss getting my total proteins for the day. I have tried several of the flavors, including chocolate but the vanilla is my favorite.

The big day is getting really close emoticon I bet you are getting excited to have all your hard work come together. It will be wonderful!

This week I started off with a sinus infection. then I went to a few wedding functions for a friend, followed by a few missed sessions with my trainer, which all ended up being an entire week of over eating and not working out,,,

yes , yes I am ashamed,, but today i am back on it, And I am still proud of my previous accomplishments.. and I did so much this week, while being sick. I worked a few extra shifts and ended up putting like 50 hrs. in this week. i also made out and mailed every single wedding invitation. I planned a bachelorette party this week, and did I mention I was sick as a dog...

So the moral here , for once is to not be upset at yourself. be proud of what you have accomplished, and just keep going, Yes I am going straight to the treadmill right now!!!

My apologies for not being on here for a few, but I have had the worst sinus infection, that doesnt want to go away. I am happy to work out during the pain and the stress, but I can't work out when I am sick. I already feel so zapped. And my sinus infections are not normal. I have had allergies to more things than you can think of since I was really little. My mother made me take all the stuffed animals out my room at one point so I would not be exposed to the dust and alergens on them... Anyway when , i get a sinus infection, I first sneeze for what seems like a straight 24 hours, And then my nose drips like a faucet, and then it takes weeks for my system to recover. So when I feel better I will work out a little harder.

Did you know the wedding is less than two months away??? So this actually couldn't happen at a worse time. Because not only do i not want to work out, I havent keft my house. I skipped a spa appt. And an appt with the minister. Anyway I am getting super excited,, all of the planning is finally coming together. I did do one really important thing while being stuck in the house. My fiance and I made 125 invitations over the last two days,, Its impressive because it tooks us weeks to make the save the dates, which were half as easy to assemble.. Well lets pray I get better soon, because I have alot of work to do, and alot of working out to do.

Peanut Butter Cups

So my absolute favorite thing on the planet hands down are REeses Peanut butter Cups. These babies should have their own food group. I could have them for every meal of the day. Every holiday I get a surplus of every Peanut butter heart or Christmas tree. Anyway it mad it really hard to put them down when it became crunch time before the wedding. I decided only on special occasion. then I bought the miniature bag and decided once or twice a week. Then I found something even better. Really tiny ones. Small enough to have a couple everyday!!! god bless the Hershey Corporation for giving me a goal to work for everyday.....

moving on , working out was great yesterday. I got my own gloves, the ones with finger holes so you can punch the bag and lift things. And today after work I am going to the MMA gym without my trainer. I love hitting the bag, but this gym by myself intimidates me. Its not your regualr gym where the guys are there to add to their already to large pile of muscle or hit on poor defenseless girls. These guys are actually their to tighten their fighting stance or to really beat some a#$. That is what intimidates me, and its all guys I have discovered I am among like 3 other girls. I have decided to not let it intimidate me I, I have decided to make it a challenge and do my best o keep up today, and not look like a moron.

If I succeed, i am coming home to watch CSI and enjoy my itty bitty , teeny tiny, Reeses.. Enjoy the day!

    LOL...I only eat two kinds of chocolate on a regular basis...Reese's Peanut Butter cups and Ghirardelli Milk Chocolate Carmel squares. I love easter time though for the Cadbury Eggs!

I found mini dark chocolate peanut butter cups at Trader Joe's that are pretty good and small enough to have 2 or 3 at a time. I have them at the back of the pantry though, so I have to dig them out to eat any...does that count as exercise?

I think it is awesome that you went to the gym today without your trainer WTG!!!

    I'm trying to work through a similar issue: I recently started working out at the Student Rec Center on campus (I'm a non-traditional student, 31yrs old). I don't have a problem working out with the machines or on the cardio equipment even though I am surrounded by 18-22yr olds. However, the pool (which I am dying to use) is in plain sight of EVERYONE. Its kind of hard to describe, but there are lots of windows, and the pool is in the middle of the 2 cardio sections. Anyway, I am a larger girl, and being seen in a bathing suit by anyone is enough to cause me serious anxiety...never mind being seen in a bathing suit by 18-22yr olds!!!! Anyway, the point of this tangent is that I applaud you for biting the bullet and going without your trainer. Don't let yourself be intimidated! I will also try to take my own advice...Good Luck! emoticon

Well yesterday didnt go as planned. After the dentist, I felt just atrocious. I spent the rest of the day on the couch or napping,, I didnt overeat or anything, but I was highly unactive. I skipped out on half my errands, left the house a mess, and cancelled on my trainer, which i feel so guilty about.

Today is a different story... I not only finished the errands from yesterday, but I hopped on the treadmill for 30 minutes, and tried one of my video workouts.. I am allso in the middle of completeing my "mommmy dos" for today as well, and I still have to work. I finally love being active.... My ultimate goal is get everything aaccomplished so I can not be so active, but when I reach that goal, I wont know what to do with myself... So i am going to creat some new challenges. Who knew?
