My workout was great yesterday! Between the gym and my treadmill, i burned almost 400 calories!!! the best part is that today finally after 2 weeks with the trainer, I am not sore! This is actual progress. I have yet to really hop on a scale, so we will see soon. i do have a Wii fit, but I am not quite sure how accurate it is. I might get on it later just to see what it says.


So I have to work all day again, and from now on every thursday. This means I have to spend like 12 hours around cheese fries, steaks and 2000 calorie desserts, but the good part? I know I can do it now. If the food at my restaurant were people I would tell them that they cant hurt me anymore and other nasty things.

Well off to burn a few calories before i go to work for the rest of the day.. Happy Thrusday and enjoy the weekend!!

My hair.

On Monday I go have my hair professionally straightened. I have always had crazy curly unruly hair that you could never run your fingers through. So it is absolutely awesome.

So as a rule , I couldnt get my hair wet for two days, which includes working out. So I had to cancel my gym appointment the last two days, and its almost caused me to go off track altogether,, so hump day is a new day, and me and my new hair are going to the gym,,,,
I am finally starting to note some real progress, not on the scale, b/c I dont own one, but in the shape of my body. My legs look less jiggly and my jeans are not as skin tight,,
I have always had a problem in the eating better department, but I am in love with the working out. I am trying new things, my home collection has grown leaps and bounds,and even though I want to hit my trainer after each session; I feel great. I am even also starting to enjoy the soreness which means my muscles are actually thanking me,, who knew?

    I started with the hair straightening in March! I love it! Left to its own devices... my hair would now be gray, curly and slightly softer than the texture of steel wool. Now it is straight, smooth and different. I have had the same hair cut for thirty years or more... so this is exciting. I am told often that I look younger. My hair is now long enough to pull up when I exercise. I am loving it and feel it is soooo worth the expense. I hope you love it too.... Lucky you... 2 days. I can't wash mine for 4. We must have different products used on us... but still it is worth it... Enjoy your hair and your workouts... Post a picture when you can!

    woohooo!!! i love being sore-it means i did something! as for food, try small new changes. weightloss is 80% nutrition!! i have found amazing recipes in tosca reno's book the eat clean diet recharged, www.oxygenmag.com www.thecleaneatingmama.com and even here!keep it up :) :) :)

Mondays.

Monday, January 31, 2011

Monday is my day off. I call it Kelly day.
Monday is the day I run every errand.
Monday is the only day I take my little girl to daycare so that I can clean the house. Monday is my best workout day. I not only get some good cardio in, but I go the trainer, and I play on the Wii.
Monday unfortunately is the only day , I get to cook for for the family, and actually have a normal diet. The rest of the week I work at night, so dinner is not completely in my control.
Monday is also the only day of the week I get to spend a full evening with my fiancÚ', ahh but one day soon when I grow up and get a real job, that will end.
Monday is supposed to be like the worst day of the week , but it is my best day of the week.
Monday is always a fresh start to the week, and to anyone who is doubting their diet, or exercise routine, Monday is a day to renew.

Boxing

Boxing was fun yesterday, and I can't wait to do it again, and we visited a different gym, I swear it was like I was in Rocky,,,

Today I am sore and I have a millin things going on, so it will be light today, and my goal today is to just get my list done , and enjoy the day with my daughter.

So as far as workouts are concerned I have been on the money. As far as eating better to lose some of this weight, its an off and on battle. I am usually reall good most the day and then right around 9 - 11, b/c I am still at work, I usually breakdown. The snacks don't work, and the break dwon usually comes in the form of a few cocktails and chips...How to break free completely of this late night eating,, is my biggest problem, b/c I know these are the worst calories of all.

    Have you tried drinking a large glass of water between the cocktails? That may help fill you up. There is a terrific article in the Healthy Lifestyle section of SP explaining how alcohol is treated by our bodies, and the subsequent fat storage of other foods. Well worth the read. It helped me in understanding how my wine with dinner was affecting my weight.

To make your weight loss goals though, you have to find what is going to work for you. It's your journey make the best of it!
