Lack of Motivation beat Willingness today

Yep, I did not do a thing that counts towards weightloss today. My willingness was not there today. However, I did spend some time in the kitchen making Bibmibap and Egg Rolls and really enjoyed it. Whole time thinking 'this can't be that healthy' but it was oh so good!! Had a lightbulb moment tonight. I've been following recipes off the internet so I've decided to start following the Sparkpeople recipes each week. I'm not a great cook but can follow directions well and I definitely need some healthy and good meal changes. So it's a new goal for myself!! :)

    I'm prob not gonna make the morning session but thinking about the evening one. I think there is one tomorrow night somewhere, I will look on their facebook page. If I can make the 9am I will!

    Hi there.
By cooking the food yourself you eliminate alot of things like salt and other things you can't pronounce. I was sick for about two weeks and unable to exercise for another week and just by eating homecooked and smaller portion my weight dropped.

Exercise is great. It keeps me sane. hope you can join us for Zumba tomorrow. Have a great night.

Getting started with little motivation

My motivation to start a program has never been so low but starting anyway. I get out when I can (weather permitting) and ride my bike or take a walk. Today I spent 20 mins on the gym treadmill so today is my official start date. Praying to feel better soon with motivation, happiness and maybe a few less pounds!

    Thank you John and Dave. I would love to join in. Perhaps by the time you get back and get something together I can hold up better. I sometimes get out of breath easily and need breaks but working on it. My husband would probably love to join also. He's not on spark but trying to get back in shape. Retirement has done it's number on him. He likes to ride.

    I sure hope you can get out and enjoy some of the absolutely wonderful bike paths near the river. I started doing this in April, and by the beginning of this month have logged over 1500 miles on my bike.

I'm off to Canada for a 'reward' bike tour (for losing 48 pounds), but when I get back I would like to organize a couple of Korean Spark Team riders bike trips along the Han river. I hope you'll join us.

    You are already ahead of the game by exercising when you're not motivated! Motivation will come & go, but if you keep at it regardless you will see great success!! emoticon

    Sparking doesn't always sparkle. Sometimes it's just the plain old decision to just get up and get going. YOU are on your way and are your own spark. Keep it up!
