Spent the day at a convention today. These things are always great fun, however, you've got to go slow on water and any other kind of liquid in order to avoid the grimy bathrooms as much as possible.
Well, since I had decided that this month I would finally get back on track with my water intake, which has been lagging greatly over the past few months, this was a really tricky situation, but I'm determined not to break my streak on the third day of the month already.
When we got home around 20:30 my water total for day day was at 2 cups. Not a pretty situation. In the past two hours I've made it up to 7 cups. Leaves me with one more cup before I go to bed.
Well, I wonder how many times I'll need to get up tonight...
But, stubborn as I am, I will not break this streak this month.
So, bottoms up... here I go.

Every December Iím looking forward to January, to leaving the holiday craziness behind and of course to new beginnings.
Well, most of January saw me sick. It started with a sore throat just a couple of days after New Yearís, progressed to a full blown cold and later to a sinus infection at which point I saw no choice but to visit my doctor who put me on antibiotics. And while the antibiotics helped clear up the snot in my head they in turn gave me a yeast infection.
In addition, during my doctor visit I found out that the crick in my neck, which I had since December, is not just a crick but most likely arthritis. Made me worried that Iíll have to live with this pain for the rest of my life, which could, God willing, be another 30+ years.
Through it all I did soldier through Boot Camp. I had been really looking forward to this (my first ever challenge on SP) and I was determined to finish. I have to admit that there were days when I could not do Boot Camp but I made up every single exercise on a day when I could.
So here we are on the last day of this very trying January 2010, moving forward and looking ahead, wondering what February has in store.

Went back to my power tae class today for the first time in about 10 days, as I had to sit out due to being sick. The class went really well for me, which surprised me, 'cause usually, after having taken a break of a week or more it's really hard to get back into it and I can feel stamina lost.
Not so today and I credit it all to bootcamp. Yes, I kept up with bootcamp even while I was sick and I really think that's what saved my power tae class today.
Thanks SparkPeople! Thanks Coach Denise for putting on the challenge! Thanks Coach Nicole for the awesome exercise demonstrations!
Now can we have a February bootcamp?

Yes finally, after 2 weeks of being sick and really down and out, things are starting to look up. I am on antibiotics for a sinus infection but I was able to do the bootcamp cardio today. During the past 2 weeks my cardio has really suffered. Actually last week I couldn't do any as I was suffering from a nasty cough and other cold-related ailments.
I did however all of the bootcamp strength videos and I'm totally up to date with bootcamp. This is now going into week 4 now and I'm looking forward to finishing this challenge.
Well, it's still fairly early in the day - I'm going shopping (to Costco - haha...)

... for my cold/flu that's been lasting for 2 weeks now. Well, just as I thought, it was a cold turned sinus infection and my body was unable to fend that off. Well, after an antibiotics shot I'm already starting to feel a little bit better. Also, my head finally stopped hurting. Yeah, there is hope yet.
I'm sure I can start going back to the gym come Monday and I'm looking forward to that.
I have been keeping up with my bootcamp exercises every day, but of course that alone won't do the trick.
Oh, as an added "bonus" I found out that I have arthritis in my neck... wonderful! I'll deal with that when my head gets clear again. Also I have a muscle spasm in my left shoulder that wouldn't release. So I got another shot for that.
So, after spending over 200 Dollars for medicine I'm happy to report that I'm still alive. Actually, had I been more alive when I filled my prescriptions I would have been a bit more selective and maybe wouldn't have filled all of them, but I was feeling so miserable I really didn't care all that much.
It's early to bed for me tonight. (I brought home some awesome muscle relaxers... hehehe...)
I'm really hoping that I can sleep off some of this mess tonight and wake up feeling much better in the morning.
Be well, everyone!
