In reality my quest for 10+ a day has turned into 10+ a day minus Friday.
This means that I have successfully added some kind of athletic activity on both weekend days. This is progress!
I do most of my workouts at the gym. Love going to the gym!
As of late I have discovered Zumba.
Yes, it's been around for a while, but I've never really considered it, 'cause, let's face it, this Gringo is not very flexible when it comes to dance moves.
A couple of weeks ago though my curiosity finally got the better of me, and now I'm hooked!
I was surprised to find out that it's not just cha-cha and rumba and swinging hips. It's actually quite challenging and you sweat like a s@b. Great cardio workout!
As for the swinging hips part - I've discovered that I probably don't look any more ridiculous than most everybody else in the class and I expect to be able to loosen up even more over time. Use it or lose it, baby!
Overall, I am declaring my challenge to myself as successful and going forward will continue my streak of "10+ a day minus Friday".
