My 50-Day-Challenge: Days 49 & 50

Not a very strong finish to my challenge, but nevertheless, I finished!
5 lbs lost, lots of insights gained.

Consistency is really the key; both for food and for exercise.

What's next?

When I planned my challenge originally, 50 days was the count-down to my summer vacation. Well, summer vacation needed to be pushed back by a week due to unforeseen circumstances.

So, this means that I am extending my challenge by 7 days.

I love seeing your progress.

It's true we are learning a lot about ourselves on this journey. I think because it's no longer a race, but trying to become healthier and aware of what we are doing and what our body is telling us.

    May I make a recommendation for the next 7 days? Stay with your program like glue. Do it and let everything else come 2nd and 3rd. Make this next week stellar.

I noticed no details on the last 2 days....did you go off your program at all? What DID you do according to what you had planned to do.

We have a tendency of throwing in the towel at the ending of our commitment.

Stay strong hon. We want you to succeed.

My 50-Day-Challenge: Day 47

Literally every blog I read today had some kind of review of the month past. Accomplishments, failures, and everything in between. After sorting out the good, the bad and the ugly, new goals were laid out, commitments renewed, new resolutions were made. Almost made me feel like it was New Year's Day :-)

So many people are working hard at accomplishing their goals and achieving their dreams of being leaner, stronger, fitter, healthier.
NO EXCUSES! It can be done. The "secret" is... hard work. emoticon

My day 47 went well. That ice cream cone was tempting for a while tonight, but I didn't have enough calories left, so I didn't. Wow, me, impulse control? That is awesome!
So here is a emoticon for food.

And here is another emoticon for exercise. Did 60 minutes tonight.
In June I logged a total of 1320 activity minutes.

Hey, I'm excited to see day 50. I see too many count ups or count downs that start and never finish. With exercise, the first step is always harder than the last, but when it comes to lifestyle change it seems like the challenge is always there. I think it becomes easier over time, but sticking to it definitely takes some determination and motivation at every turn.

I know you're not finished yet, but you should be proud of your accomplishment. Then you can be proud some more when you see it through 100% and you're on that plane.

Are those people doing maintenance EVERY night or what's the deal here?Consider your West Coast people, please...

Okay, I figured as much, the thighs go last, of course. But eventually even they had to budge. I'm not logging a huge victory, only about 1 cm, but hey, I'm on my way.

Today was another on plan day for both food and exercise.
Funny, during the week I mostly eat the same stuff every day. How boring am I? But it works, so why worry about it.

    I was thinking the same thing about me. It seems like I rotate the same stuff over and over. But I enjoy it, it's easy, it fits my schedule and it fits my nutrition goals. Exciting is way far down on my list. Save 'exciting' for screw up days. emoticon

    Make succeeding at your program your focus and not what it is supposed to "give" you. If it is a healthy lifestyle, give yourself kudos. Of course you are doing this as a way of weighing less and feeling great. Having expectations be the reasons for doing what you are doing may lead to resentment.

After your program is over then what? I hope another program.
