HMmmm..How is your Monday?

Monday, June 04, 2012

Monday, Monday, Monday...oh, what a wonderful day. I do think its a wonderful day for a new slate though :) Dont hate on Monday THAT bad!! Think of it as a fresh start. Even if you have been going strong, just keep going! Keep pushing! Maybe even push yourself a little more ;)

I THINK I have been slacking a little. I havent been eating too well latley and it has me feeling kinda crappy. However, its the start of a new month and I feel as though I can make this month GREAT. Started my Monday morning off with a great workout. Pushed myself hard this morning on the tredmill and increased the speed more than I have in the past. Probably the first time in awhile I can run that long without stopping. So, with that being said, I actually feel really good about it :)

Cracked w/ the wheat thins at lunch. And the peanut butter. THE PEANUT BUTTER GETS ME EVERYTIME. I love love peanut butter and when I eat it with my banana I always end up eating more than I should. However, that snack filled me and I just ate some wheat thins along w/ my spinach, mozz, and tomatoe salad. I think I am gunna be full until dinner. If not, I have fruit, a yogurt, and a special K bar to hold me over!

I am looking at the positives here:
Ran hard and long in the legs look great in my dress today emoticon

Hope everyone has an amazing week! Stay strong!!

No junk food in my house..

Tuesday, May 22, 2012

Tuesday has come upon us! My husband has a long weekend this week (along with Monday off) but I have to babysit Sat & Sun so light partying it is for me! Not a bad thing though :)

Anyway, I have no "bad food" in my house...literally. All fruit, ice cream, chips, NOTHING! Feels good that I can't sneak into the wheat thins box and "accidentally" eat 250 calories worth. LOL.

Last night though, I did break and have some soft serve vanilla ice cream. I was craving it (that time of month) and I have been doing good so I got some. I got a small and I believe it was around 250 calories. In my book, NOT BAD! I saved calories throughout the day for it so I was prepared. I think it important to satisfy a craving. I mean, don't go eat a big mac and large fries..but don't deprive yourself of what you want.

And so the journey continues...I am buying a scale this weekend to see how I have been doing. I was weighed at the doctors 2 weeks ago and want to see if I made any progress. Im scared! Just have to keep pushing...whether I loose, gain, or stay the same....

Hump day tomorrow! Hope everyone has a strong week

And what does that mean? CLOSER TO SUMMER! Ugh. Idk if this is a good or bad thing. I feel like I am really making progress but I dont think I will be at my goal by "summer". I think I am going to change my expectations and shoot for loosing a total of 20-25 pounds by August/September. I have a bestfriends wedding (maid of honor! I have to look good!) in april of 2013 so I have to for sure be in shape by then.

Weekends are literally my biggest struggle. I am a eat-out food fanatic and I will be the first to admit I love french fries and nachos. I have planned on going to the fresh farmers market here in my town on Sunday. So that is a little nice motivation to continue to eat well throughout the weekend.

Feels good to write these blogs. I am on my lunch break at my internship and felt like I needed some motivation. I got it! I have about 850 CALS to eat for the rest of the day/night. Had a good workout this morning and hope to get another one in (even if its just 25 mins) tonight/evening. Thats my goal for today-workout TONIGHT.

I hope everyone has a great weekend and does not give in to the food temptation!!!!

First, let me say I love your puppy background, what a sweetie !
Try to keep a realistic goal for yourself, but that does include making the commitment everyday, not just during the week. I know it's hard, I went through it last summer, but kept our meals simple, even taking our own food on vacation. The results were worth it. Good luck. emoticon emoticon

Hump Day!

Wednesday, May 16, 2012

I have been doing good all week so far..maybe had a little too much cheese tortellini for dinner yesterday (oops!) but I did hit spin class hard at 6 AM burning over 400 cals and biking 22 miles. FEELING GOOD! Gotta love coming to SP and feeling motivated. I do feel a little tired right now BUT I am still going to bring it in my workout :) Anyone else feeling the same?

Happy Monday!

Monday, May 14, 2012

Another Monday, another chance to get it the hell going!!! Made good choices this weekend except a few..drank a bottle of wine at dinner Saturday BUT had wonderful shrimp & scallops for dinner along w/ fresh mozz & tomato. It was delish and even had a little desert and felt satisfied!! Last night I had a klondike bar (150 calories, it was the low fat kind so it wasn't that BAD) but then my husband wanted choco chip oatmeal cookies...I had three. UGH. Thats okay though because I am going food shopping today and going to plan all my meals for the week, including my workouts. I want to literally write them down along w/ my meals and hopefully that will really make me stick to it 100%. I am excited to work out this morning nice & early. Hope everyone has an amazing week and does not GIVE UP!!!

Not much yet, but we have been seeing some greens already. Dave (husband) and I will move eventually, and finding somewhere with a year-round growing season is at the top of my personal wish list, because I love cruising farmers' markets and roadside stands for fresh, local goodies!

I agree it very much does! We got some cantaloupe, pineapple, grapes...nothing really much out of the ordinary except cantaloupe and pineapple. I wish we had some plums and peaches! I will have to go to the local market to see if maybe they have some. What about you??

Going grocery shopping always makes me feel healthy and empowered, too. emoticonWhat produce is in season in your area right now?
