Changing??

Tuesday, March 27, 2012

I haven't felt motivated but I did something I haven't done in a long time. I worked out on my 1/2 hr lunch. I've had the Wii Biggest Loser game for over a year now and finally dusted it off to see what it was all about.

I have the tools - Wii fit plus, bike, access to a gym, exercise ball, weights etc. It's the using part. My new sparkstreak goal... 10 mins a day doing anything other than sitting on my butt.

I can do this..

PS - For your own reminder: you feel pretty darn great right now after that work out!

Summer Shorts!

Thursday, March 22, 2012

So I got a wild hair up my (well ya know) and decided to try on the shorts I recall wearing in my early 20's. They are shorts that I used to look good in and really really loved so I still have them 8-10 years later. These are my goal shorts becuase it's clothes that I can remember wearing and how I felt in them.

HAHA - It was eye opening to realize just how much weight I have put on over the years. While the shorts are marked 20W, they are more like a 16. There is no way losing just 2 sizes (currently a 24) is gonne get my butt (acutally my stomach) into those shorts.

You know when people ask you what were you doing when....?? Well.. I can tell you how I was feeling when I was wearing those. I felt fearless, confident, sexy, and attractive. While i have always been a big person, I carried it very well.

For me.. it's not just about getting back into those shorts, it's about feeling that way again. I lost those along the way (or should i say weight) and I want it back. I'm gonna fight for it and I'm going to fight for me!!!

Anyone else have a piece of clothing that reminded them of how they felt when they wore it?

YES! I have a beautiful dress that is still in the closet, waiting for me to put it back on when I reach my goal size. But along the way -- It is sort of fun to try on pants that were too small and have them fit again -- gradually, slowly, the waistband moves closer and closer together, until eventually they fit!! YES!

Sunshine and a new light

Friday, March 09, 2012

OMGoodness.. The sun is shining here and its a gorgeous day. The last two days have been great for my mood. Windows and doors are open, birds are chirping and I am in great spirits. I have tracked my food for 5 days straight, and not fibbing on what I put in my mouth.

Tomorrow is Sat and I'm worried that I wont continue the streak. I have the food tracker on my smart phone but it doesn't have my favorites, and not all the foods are avail. I will have to remember to just enter it into a memo on my phone, and put it into SP later in the day.

Any body have suggestions on how they make it thru the weekend?

I posted two pics of me as start pictures. Never in a million years did I think I woudl put pics that look like that online, but I figured it's a great way for me to look back and reflect on my changes and progress.

Have a great friday everyone!!

My best weekends are when I keep busy on projects or activities to distract me and keep me away from the kitchen

Koala, I know the feeling the last two days and even this morning have been such a bonus to my mood. My kitchen had a skylight. Nothing like natural sunlight to brighten your day.

As for weekend tips it is all dependent at least for me on what I have planned. No social occasions so it should be fairly easy this weekend. Hubby is on the same page as me. He has just as much to loose. Personally I like to try and do some pre-planning. For example last weekend we took my mother in-law out. Yes I went over my calories, Yes the fettuccine shrimp Alfredo was worth it. But I had planned my Breakfast and lunch were very small 400 calories combined. I stayed in range the other days of the weekend. No weekend hicup so I guess it worked

Before pics are great. My SIL who was over 300 has some and it is amazing to see the change. I have my own I have my jeans that are now two sizes too big.

Best of luck with the weekend
