Love it! Not to judge feelings, to give self the safety not felt in other situations, to remind oneself to ignore the voices in ones head, and most importantly to be kind to self! Namaste.

Quinoa, chicken breast, salad

Thursday, March 13, 2014

Here's a pic of a lunch/dinner that tastes really good and is very healthy. Is it a big portion guys? I don't know, maybe, but it's the quantity I eat right now so I didn't want to make it smaller for the photo's sake.

Cooked quinoa (this article explains how to cook it the right way, the only thing I'd like to add is that you need to season it with salt or Vegeta or green spices or anything you can imagine, it will taste so much better.
takes-when-cooking-quinoa )

Chicken breast (spiced really well and fried in very little oil in Tefal non-stick pan; very little oil really means just a few drops)

Salad (this one's with tomatoes, cucumber, lettuce and onions but it can obviously be prepared with any vegetable you can imagine, other favorites in our house are radishes, peppers and greens like spinach and kale; I only add a salad seasoning and a few drops of oil - olive or some fancy oil like walnut, sesame or pumpkin seed oil. Sometimes salt if the salad seasoning is not salty enough for my taste. It also goes well with green spices).

Check in

Tuesday, February 25, 2014

I thought I'd check in and write a short blog just to keep my promise of blogging, even though I don't feel like having much to say!

I'm still waiting for a letter from my girl Ali (yes, you!! :)) ), a good friend visited us unexpectedly and stayed the night, we talked a lot, it was great.

My boyfriend is gonna stay at home for the next month, it's a long story but this is the essence of it.
We'll visit friends in the middle of March for about 8 days, they live close to London, so we'll do a lot of sightseeing in London and we'll also go see Oxford for a day trip, I just hope the weather will be kind with us, but if it won't we already promised ourselves to go INSIDE museums and places like that in London on days when the weather is bad and then we'll go sightseeing outside on days when the weather is nice. There are so many museums in London, and most are free. Right now I'm sure we'd like to see the natural history museum and the science museum, but I'm very interested in the museum of freemasonry. And as for other indoor activities for rainy days, we'll definitely see Madame Tussauds and the London Dungeon, which I've seen both in 2007 with a friend, but my boyfriend hasn't seen them yet, and I want to see it again as well. We'll probably also go on the London Eye and into Sea Life Aquarium.

So I'm really looking forward to these things. :)
