Another Relaxing day!

Sunday, January 23, 2011

Good Evening All!

I hope you all had a great day and that you are having a great night. I am having a nice relaxing time of Sparking and more crocheting all day. I have done my 12,500 steps today, 30 wall push-ups before my shoulder told me to stop and I did. I was amazed and thrilled that I was able to do that many. I now can do 1 lb weights in my left hand and had no problem doing the exercises for them and my physio also. I am improving by leaps and bonds but I am being very careful doing in the right form and doing them slowly and using my core muscles which I can feel right now. LOL they are sore tonight and so are my legs.

Thanks goodness tomorrow is my rest day of doing no form of cardio or physio. I am taking a complete break. I am just going to do the minimal amount of walking my 10,000 step for my 10,000 steps team and keep my streak going.

I managed to get every posting down, every email answer except for one that I have to reply back tomorrow, still figuring out if I can do this special request for an order that I receive today. I think I can, it will be tricky and it might not work but I am willing to take that chance and make it up for her. If it doesn't work then I will try something else.

I managed to get two more Boston Terriers done today. All that is needed is the eyes on the tails to be put on. Eyes I don't have, need to go out and buy some. Tails I will be getting pictures showing the size of the tails tomorrow or the next day I think. Depends on the email that I get.

The third B.T. I had to rib it( take it apart) the shape and size was distorted. So tomorrow I will start fresh.

I found a virtual page where you can upload your before picture and it will do the after mirror image for you. I choose a long dress that I wore in summer of 2009 and I hope I can post it here. I will attempt to now.

I wonder if you can see the difference that 15 pounds loss does? I am proud of my weight loss and I am now in a size small lady's t-shirt fitted and size 28 or size 2 in pants and jeans.

The trouble for me being at this size now is that I can't find any pant or jeans in a 35 leg length. I have to buy one size bigger and then get them altered. Right now I can't afford to do that so I will be a bit more patient and shop around I know I will find a store to fit my long legs. Now this is a problem that I can live with and I won't complain.

I am looking great, feeling so much better on my looks and I am getting my strength and stamina back. I am at a great weight for my Height at 125 as of this morning. I am up 2 lbs but that I expected because I was sick and I haven't been working out very hard due to my shoulder injuries and sitting working on all my knittables to be made.

So all is all everything is right where I should be and right where I expected to be. Tomorrow I can start doing mores to my daily routine and push myself a tiny bit harder.

Another good/great thing and knock on wood that I don't jinks myself by saying this.

I had slept for 8.5 hours last night and I was in no need for a nap today at all.

It is now 11:05 pm and I am shutting every thing done and going to bed. I can't stop yawning and my eyes are closing.

So have a great night and I will see you all in the morning.

Interesting Day!

Friday, January 21, 2011

What a great day. I got up at 9am after 5 hours of sleeping. Wide awake till 4am in the morning is not good. My sleep is a mess but I am trying out new things to get it back on track. One is to exercise first thing in the morning and then my physio and weights in the afternoon. Still taking extreme care not to re-injure the shoulder. Not having any COFFEE or Caffeine drinks after 4pm. On track still for that even though I really want a coffee but will have my water instead.

The other thing that made my day is that I spent the entire day sparking and catching up on all my emails, sparkmail, teams and friends blog took me 6 hours to do it but I did it.

I did take my normal breaks when the timer went off every 45 minutes and did some walking up and down our hallway and living and kitchen area. I manage to get in a total of 17,888 steps in all and it only took me 9 hours to get all that walking in. Al most a regular work day for me when I did work at the store. So I am glad that I am getting my step back up to where it should be.

I even managed to pack up two knitting orders to be mailed out tomorrow, couldn't today it was a heavy down pour for most of the day and I needed to stay by the phone I was expecting a call from job that I had apply for and they never called. I did call them back and left a message, manager was off today.

I then spent about three hours crocheting up one of the Boston Terriers which is now finished except for the collar and its name on it.

Will do that tomorrow and then work on the other three after wards.

I hope the rain stays away tomorrow I really want to get out and enjoy some fresh air and more walking. Even if it does rain I will bundle up and try and keep dry.

I read a great blog today by my sparkfriend Nanner2121 and she had a link that you can find out about you age, the year you where born and the facts on that day and the year. I found it to be very interesting.

There was a lot that I didn't know about the year I was born in and who else was.

Here is the link if you want to check it out. Thanks NANNNER212
www.paulsadowski.com/birthday.asp

I even check to see what my names meant: it means Helper of mankind.

The meaning of your name sure tells you a lot and most of it is true and then some is not. Still I found it to be interesting.

Well that is it. My eyes are so tired from all the reading and typing and work that I have done. Time to sit back and watch TV until John goes to work and then have a nice long long Hot Bubble Bath so that I can relax more and get some sleep.

Good night!

Good luck on your job...hope you got the call you've been expecting. I sure hope you are able to get some good sleep soon and lots of it. My DD has a problem with sleeping and for Christmas I got here a sound machine...it has soothing water, thunderstorms (her favorite), gentle rain on a tin roof and many other different sounds to help relax her and let her fall asleep. She says it is working. Hope you can find something to help you.

You had a very productive day! Love the idea of setting a timer to remind you to get up and get some exercise in all that sitting. Its so easy to lose track of time on the computer or in the middle of a project you are working on. Well done!
Hope you get the job!
Good luck with the sleep. I am still having trouble sleeping too, but then my elbow is uncomfortable having to be in one position only.

More Pictures and stuff!

Friday, January 21, 2011

First the pictures:

I found this cute little guy on the internet and I am going to recreate him.

One of my lost photos when picture gallery disappeared but I found it on my old camera card.

Baby Cowboy Boots

You asked for a Zebra and here him is, I was up all night making him up and today I put him together.

My knittibles looking out the window.

Now facing you all and saying "HI"

Now that the picture gallery show is over for today I am very please at how they all turned out. As most of you know some are one I have done before but I lost them when my picture gallery disappeared one day. Which stunned me because I didn't delete any of them. Thanks goodness I didn't reformat my camera card and bought a new one to use. I will be buying another one soon. A great way to store and save you pictures encase this happens again.

Yes I was up all night working on most of my orders when I got an idea to work on something new and I had to stop and work on it. The Zebra took me six hours to make up and another 2 hours today to stuff n sew. I love him.

I also worked on the three Boston Terriers today since I got more photos to work from thank you Kim. She did a wonderful job taking pictures of all three Terriers, hard to do when they are moving at all times I'm sure.

Now to work on the legs and fronts of all three. I have separate listing for etch one of them so that I won't get confused on which one I am doing.

To speed up time I do all the legs first, then all the tails, ears, nose, forehead, chest and then all the body"s and heads which are made in one piece. Then when they are all done. I start on one and finish it. then the next and the next, so on, you get the drift.

Mom's sweater will be worked on tomorrow, She won't see it until John get Tuesday and Wednesday off next week. Plenty of time to get every order plus her sweater done and see my BF at some time this weekend I hope.

He just got back from Las Vegas and had a great time, the lucky guy, he even won money too. didn't lose. So that in it self is awesome.

My workouts went OK did 17,757 steps = 8.13 miles walking took me all day to do it cause every 30 minutes the timer would go off and I would walk for five or ten minutes at a time. So over a 9 hour span I got all these in burned 677 calories to as per my MIO watch.

I did very lite weights today 0.5lbs to start with and that is all I was capable of doing on my left shoulder, my right shoulder I can do 8lbs but did the 0.5 instead. Don't want to look odd now do I.

That would like funny one skinny arm and one muscular arm. I want them to be the same toned.

Any way it is time for me to get up and walk, stretch, crochet for another hour or two.

Have a great night.

A Better Day!

Wednesday, January 19, 2011

As you all know I have been struggling lately with injuries, sickness and now with an infection in my larynx and that I have been so depressed lately but trying to smile, tease and support you all through this.

Well it worked, focusing on encouraging others, support other, giving goodies, hugs, suggestion or just me listening and then putting a emoticonor emoticonjut to tell them that I am hear for you and that I have read your blogs but I had no words that were comforting or helpful and I didn't want to say anything to hurt, offend, make you mad, sad, angry or not be my friend any more. So that is why I said nothing.

Sometime just saying nothing but giving out a hug, goodies, smile or a emoticon is all that is required of a person. At least that is what I think and I hope is true.

You tell me so that I can be a better friend/person here and at home.

Now for my blog:

A better day!

This morning I woke up after only four hours of sleep, still have that dreaded sore throat. So I got up took my meds. and started to walk it out with Leslie Sanson while waiting for the coffee to brew. I love my new machine, it makes great coffee and good to the last drop. LOL!

I ended up doing 2 miles emoticonand while I was walking it I did my shoulder exercises. I felt good today not pain at all just heaviness cause lifting my arms took a lot of strength in me. Haven't done are raises in a while or jumping jack for the same reason.

I took things real slow and did my forms just right and when I felt a twinge of pain I stopped like I was told too.

I ended up doing 40 J.J. and 2 sets of 15 arm raises and shoulder raises( no weight) when I had to stop felt the twinge. Cool down by more walking and a soft and careful stretch and made breakfast and had my coffee while making it.

Peanut butter and Grape Jam on Wonder Bread Whole Wheat, raisens plus the coffee.

Then I sparked until John got up at noon.

At 1pm we left to go to MIcheal's to get some supplies that I needed for my new orders. I have three now and one left to finish(mom's sweater).

So we get into the car and see John's friend John and offered him a ride to any where(he is unemployed and walks every where. He was just heading home so we asked him if he want to come for a ride with us and he came.

We all had a good chat in the car ( I mostly listened) and when we got to M. We gathered the supplies I needed all but the buttons for the Dogs eyes they didn't have any or did they have one of the colours that I need for one of the Boston Terriers I am doing. Paid for all with my gift card and coupons (40% off two items. Save lots.

Then onto to more craft stores and finally found the perfect Brown Alpaca yarn for the Boston Terrier. emoticon more saving another 40% off.

We then went to Canadian Tire where I picked up a 3 pack of Clorox Whips on sale, more gloves to use while I am recycling.

Then to Safeway for Bread and Milk and on wards to home.

Brother John made us a pot of coffee and it was so good I teased him about it.

I felt like a queen all day being served and having them carrying my packages for me. Both guys are real and true Gentlemen.

John stayed for awhile and then left and I started on dinner. Homemade tomato Penne with Tomatoes Alfredo. Oh so good and healthy.

Now I am going to catch up on my missed show, crochet one of the Boston Terriers up and hit the sack early.

Sweet Dreams.

Sandra, you are such a wonderful team member and friend, and you never cease to amaze me with all you do. I can't speak for everyone, but to me, to know someone has cared enough to take the time to read my blog, or status update, and either 'like' my status or comment on it, or send me an emoticon or comment on a blog, really makes my day. I remember my grandmother telling me sometimes just letting someone know you're there for them is the kindest thing you can do for them. That's the way I regard those 'likes' or emoticons when i find them on a page - always feel thankful.
I'm so pleased you managed to get all that exercising done even before your first coffee of the day! Your shoulder is obviously healing nicely (even if its taking longer than you would wish, lol), and I hope those meds will clear up that painful throat problem.
Whenever I get something like that and have no voice, I find people whisper back at me without realizing it. Do you find people doing that to you? I always ask them why they're whispering, and they always look surprised to realize they were, lol.

Sounds like a great day for you. Glad you can start doing more exercising and know when to stop---so important that we stop when the twinge of pain giving the warning to let up.
I was at Michaels yesterday getting some yarn for a couple of projects I want to get started and loved the 40% off one of the skeins of yarn, it sure helps saving some money.
I agree that sometimes hust a emoticon or another emotion is enough said, and you have been a great friend to many sparkers, including myself.
Continued success in the workouts and enjoy those projects you are making.

Sandra: I think your attitude toward your friends is the best!

You accept people as they are, you don't judge or try to impose your own beliefs and opinions and tell them what to do. You support them in a way that encourages - sometimes just sending a hug, a goodie, just listening or posting an encouraging comment on their page is the best thing to do.

That's why you have people who care about you ... because you care about them.

Oh, Sandra, I know you've had a rough go of it! I just wish I could say "POOF!" and you have the job of your dreams! And here you are, giving people rides, offering kindness from your big heart, when you could have justified being all about yourself! You are quite a considerate person! emoticonI'm proud to be your friend! emoticon

Well Finally!

Tuesday, January 18, 2011

Finally on the biggest Loser tonight we get to see the new trainers. I like them so far. I never heard of them before so I will be googling them later.

John and I made another trip to the recycling stations today, we were there for 90 minutes and made $65.00 together. Half of it is all mine. emoticon

I ate healthy today all day and drank most of my water. Still need to get in two more 8 oz glass in.

I now have a PayPal account all set up some now I don't have to wait for those cheques to come in the mail. Save time and energy worrying about the money, when is it coming in and if it is the right amount.

It's a pretty good set up so far and I am happy with in.

It doesn't matter that they charge you a bit for it because my customers now can get their Knittables quicker.

Win/win I think.

So tomorrow or Thursday I will be going to the Post Office to mail out Three of the Five new orders. I am still waiting for two cheques to come in the mail first and then cashed before I send out the last two. They didn't want to use PayPal. That's fine with me, they just have to few a few extra weeks for their item.

Oh I am still squeaky, voice comes and goes. mainly gone. So I think it will take another day or two, maybe three to get it back 100%.

That's OK too. I have no one to talk to. John's either sleeping or working and my BF's away for three days in Las Vagas, Lucky guy.

Well that is it for now, nothing else is new.

I will post all my orders before I mail them off so that you all can see the final product.

Can't wait to show you.

I know what my next project is but I am not going to tell you, I will show it to you when it is done.

Oh to finish watching BL and to do my crocheting now that my shoulder is feeling so much better, it is now at 85% healed.

Night, Night.

Hurray for your shoulder!!! emoticon emoticon

I'm also glad that your voice is coming back! I'm sure you're drinking tons of water! emoticon

I like PayPal and use it a lot. I think you'll see that it does improve your business! People trust it, and if they don't "know" you, they feel safe with PayPal. emoticon

Have a great day, Sandra! emoticon emoticon

Setting up the PayPal is a great idea. I'm sure a lot of your customers will be very happy with it.
Hopefully your voice will be back soon.

I'm glad your shoulder pain is getting better. The thing about thst kind of pain is that it not only hurts - a lot - but after a while it gets really exhausting and depressing too.

So glad you are on the road to complete recovery and are feeling better. Hope you got some good rest and sleep tonight too. I use PayPal often as it is much faster. Truly a win/win situation. Can't wait to see what your new project is. Have a wonderful week.
Hugs,
Helen

BTW: Congrats on your recycling!!!

Glad you're finally feeling better! I like using PayPal when I order stuff - it keeps me honest because it's hooked up to a checking account. When I charge stuff, it's like play money - but the PP comes out of my account.
