A Better Day!

Wednesday, January 19, 2011

As you all know I have been struggling lately with injuries, sickness and now with an infection in my larynx and that I have been so depressed lately but trying to smile, tease and support you all through this.

Well it worked, focusing on encouraging others, support other, giving goodies, hugs, suggestion or just me listening and then putting a emoticonor emoticonjut to tell them that I am hear for you and that I have read your blogs but I had no words that were comforting or helpful and I didn't want to say anything to hurt, offend, make you mad, sad, angry or not be my friend any more. So that is why I said nothing.

Sometime just saying nothing but giving out a hug, goodies, smile or a emoticon is all that is required of a person. At least that is what I think and I hope is true.

You tell me so that I can be a better friend/person here and at home.

Now for my blog:

A better day!

This morning I woke up after only four hours of sleep, still have that dreaded sore throat. So I got up took my meds. and started to walk it out with Leslie Sanson while waiting for the coffee to brew. I love my new machine, it makes great coffee and good to the last drop. LOL!

I ended up doing 2 miles emoticonand while I was walking it I did my shoulder exercises. I felt good today not pain at all just heaviness cause lifting my arms took a lot of strength in me. Haven't done are raises in a while or jumping jack for the same reason.

I took things real slow and did my forms just right and when I felt a twinge of pain I stopped like I was told too.

I ended up doing 40 J.J. and 2 sets of 15 arm raises and shoulder raises( no weight) when I had to stop felt the twinge. Cool down by more walking and a soft and careful stretch and made breakfast and had my coffee while making it.

Peanut butter and Grape Jam on Wonder Bread Whole Wheat, raisens plus the coffee.

Then I sparked until John got up at noon.

At 1pm we left to go to MIcheal's to get some supplies that I needed for my new orders. I have three now and one left to finish(mom's sweater).

So we get into the car and see John's friend John and offered him a ride to any where(he is unemployed and walks every where. He was just heading home so we asked him if he want to come for a ride with us and he came.

We all had a good chat in the car ( I mostly listened) and when we got to M. We gathered the supplies I needed all but the buttons for the Dogs eyes they didn't have any or did they have one of the colours that I need for one of the Boston Terriers I am doing. Paid for all with my gift card and coupons (40% off two items. Save lots.

Then onto to more craft stores and finally found the perfect Brown Alpaca yarn for the Boston Terrier. emoticon more saving another 40% off.

We then went to Canadian Tire where I picked up a 3 pack of Clorox Whips on sale, more gloves to use while I am recycling.

Then to Safeway for Bread and Milk and on wards to home.

Brother John made us a pot of coffee and it was so good I teased him about it.

I felt like a queen all day being served and having them carrying my packages for me. Both guys are real and true Gentlemen.

John stayed for awhile and then left and I started on dinner. Homemade tomato Penne with Tomatoes Alfredo. Oh so good and healthy.

Now I am going to catch up on my missed show, crochet one of the Boston Terriers up and hit the sack early.

Sweet Dreams.

Sandra, you are such a wonderful team member and friend, and you never cease to amaze me with all you do. I can't speak for everyone, but to me, to know someone has cared enough to take the time to read my blog, or status update, and either 'like' my status or comment on it, or send me an emoticon or comment on a blog, really makes my day. I remember my grandmother telling me sometimes just letting someone know you're there for them is the kindest thing you can do for them. That's the way I regard those 'likes' or emoticons when i find them on a page - always feel thankful.
I'm so pleased you managed to get all that exercising done even before your first coffee of the day! Your shoulder is obviously healing nicely (even if its taking longer than you would wish, lol), and I hope those meds will clear up that painful throat problem.
Whenever I get something like that and have no voice, I find people whisper back at me without realizing it. Do you find people doing that to you? I always ask them why they're whispering, and they always look surprised to realize they were, lol.

Sounds like a great day for you. Glad you can start doing more exercising and know when to stop---so important that we stop when the twinge of pain giving the warning to let up.
I was at Michaels yesterday getting some yarn for a couple of projects I want to get started and loved the 40% off one of the skeins of yarn, it sure helps saving some money.
I agree that sometimes hust a emoticon or another emotion is enough said, and you have been a great friend to many sparkers, including myself.
Continued success in the workouts and enjoy those projects you are making.

Sandra: I think your attitude toward your friends is the best!

You accept people as they are, you don't judge or try to impose your own beliefs and opinions and tell them what to do. You support them in a way that encourages - sometimes just sending a hug, a goodie, just listening or posting an encouraging comment on their page is the best thing to do.

That's why you have people who care about you ... because you care about them.

Well Finally!

Tuesday, January 18, 2011

Finally on the biggest Loser tonight we get to see the new trainers. I like them so far. I never heard of them before so I will be googling them later.

John and I made another trip to the recycling stations today, we were there for 90 minutes and made $65.00 together. Half of it is all mine. emoticon

I ate healthy today all day and drank most of my water. Still need to get in two more 8 oz glass in.

I now have a PayPal account all set up some now I don't have to wait for those cheques to come in the mail. Save time and energy worrying about the money, when is it coming in and if it is the right amount.

It's a pretty good set up so far and I am happy with in.

It doesn't matter that they charge you a bit for it because my customers now can get their Knittables quicker.

Win/win I think.

So tomorrow or Thursday I will be going to the Post Office to mail out Three of the Five new orders. I am still waiting for two cheques to come in the mail first and then cashed before I send out the last two. They didn't want to use PayPal. That's fine with me, they just have to few a few extra weeks for their item.

Oh I am still squeaky, voice comes and goes. mainly gone. So I think it will take another day or two, maybe three to get it back 100%.

That's OK too. I have no one to talk to. John's either sleeping or working and my BF's away for three days in Las Vagas, Lucky guy.

Well that is it for now, nothing else is new.

I will post all my orders before I mail them off so that you all can see the final product.

Can't wait to show you.

I know what my next project is but I am not going to tell you, I will show it to you when it is done.

Oh to finish watching BL and to do my crocheting now that my shoulder is feeling so much better, it is now at 85% healed.

Night, Night.

You sure know how to make someone(me) feel better!

Tuesday, January 18, 2011

WOW, again you guys and gals have left me speechless. HEHEHE!! I have no voice LOL!

I am trully honor and blessed for having you all in my life.

Thanks for all your comments and suggestions on what I should make next. I have written ALL the ideas down and I will be considering each and every one of them. I might make them all. I am thinking right now that I will.

You all have given me some wonderful suggestions and my mind is spinning on which one to make first.

I will have to take a day or two think about it first.

So keep reading cause you never know which one I will do first. It might be one of yours.

I got 5 new orders confirmed today and I am so pleased and relieve that I have some money coming to me and I get to make my customers happy by having one of my Knittables.

The best news is that there is no big changes needed to be done on three of them. The other two, just minor changes that can be easily be done in one day.

My brother was so funny today, he kept asking me a question from the other room and came out to ask me why I didn't answer him. He had forgotten that I totally have no voice. No sound comes out just air.

I went to the clinic today and I have an infection in the laryncs and that is why I can't take and why I had been getting these migraine. So I am on some power drugs to fight this thing and in three days I should have my voice back if I don't talk or whisper at all.

So I am glad that I went cause this could have gotten worse and with my luck it would have.

So thank you for pushing me to go and see the Doctor and to take care and myself and not anyone else.

Just wanted to let you all know that I will be fine and my spirits are good.

So if any one is sick, hurt or injured please take my word and go see your Doctor. We only have one life to live and we must live it to our fullest and be the best we can be.

Have a great night and I will talk with you all tomorrow.

I thought this one was lost forever in cyberspace but I found it. I will find more.

Pictures of my knittables! Panda and Boston Terrier.

Monday, January 17, 2011

Good evening!

First off"

Yes I am feeling slightly better, migraine is now just a headache but I woke up with a sore throat and laryngitis, a stiff neck and back.

On a positive note I have no one to talk to so I am saving my voice. I have no where to go except to the store to get milk and Vitimines and Advil. So I won't be talking much there.

I can wear my Jogging Suit all day, no makeup, hair in a pony tail, No one will see me, even in the grocery store no one would care what I look like and even if they do they know by looking at me and hearing my voice that I am sick. So I don't care.

The stiffness is from lying around all day doing nothing but resting which I couldn't cause of the migraine.

So this morning after taking two Advil and waiting a hour for it to start working I worked on my sparking and caught up with most of it. I have about 25 more messages to read and to post and then I am done for the day.

I am still waiting for two of my customers to email me back and let me know if any changes needs to be made before I can email them the final cost to mail the orders to them. Oh well I will send out another letter tomorrow. They must be busy doing their thing on the weekend and that is fun.

So after the hour was up, I got off my butt and did a workout. I started off very slow and carefully. I did 3 miles with Leslie Sanson Walk it out and felt OK. I even did 15 minutes of physio of my shoulders and boy did that loosen up the joints and the stiffness is almost gone.

After lunch of Chicken Noodle Soup that I had thawed out I went to work on my orders.

I finished up the Panda and here she is:

The mother

Then I worked on the Sockmonkey who is graduating and becoming a Doctor.
I designed the Mortarboard Cap, Turned out fantastic, then I made up the stethoscope, again my own design. Now I am waiting for my customer to email me back to let me know if this is what she had in mind for her daughter. I know she will love her.

This Doctor makes housecalls:

One that was done I then started to stuff n sew one of the Boston Terriers. I am doing two for a Sparker. Both will look different and unique.

Here is Borris:

Now all I need to know is the colours of the back legs and what the back on the dog looks like.

I am hopeful that she has pictures of both dogs, front and back so that I can do justice to them and make them true likeness.

I have been to her page and all she has are the faces of these cute Terriers but I need more information.

I know she will come through. She is very busy with her family and work and I know when she had time I will get the information from her.

Now for my mom's sweater I am still sewing it up. All that is left is to sew in the sleeves and make the collar. Then I have to block it. It should be finished by Tuesday night. Mom wants it by Wednesday when we see here. I know I can get it done by then.

I wish you all a great week for of happiness, wealth, health, strength and love for this is what you all have given me this last week.

So lets make the most of this week and make is a great one. We can do this together and we will.

I know tomorrow I will have my voice, my strength, my positiveness back and my energy back to get out there and do it.

You can do it too!

One more thing, after these orders are done I need something else to work on.

Please give me some ideas to work on. What would you like to see me make.

Anyone with a great idea will get a goodie from me and I will blog them.

Once again your photos are filled with the personality of each of your creations. I love the Boston Terrier - can't wait to see him when he's done. I can see a range of dog breeds being popular, specially if you could display them at any dog shows you have in your area, or even in a pet store, with information required to have you create a 'knittable' version of people's own pets.
Valentines Day is coming up, maybe cupid, his bow and arrow, or even cupid complete with bow and arrow on a large heart? Easter bunnies? Just wondering if there is a specialist chocolate store or similar where they sell good quality chocolates, where maybe you could display some of your Valentines Day and Easter knittables?
Glad you are feeling better,
Take care,
Chris.

I am so sorry to hear that you have a migraine. I have those too and I know I just can't function with one... I have to take an imitrex and then that puts me to sleep, but better to sleep than to suffer.
Hope it goes away soon!
