Didn't get any sleep last night again. Well maybe 3 hours in total. Every time I turned in my sleep I woke up to a lot of pain. ![]()

Hope you are relaxing and letting your shoulder heal. I know it is hard to do when you are always so busy and active. Praying for complete and rapid recovery and also for the sleep you definitely need. Hugs, Helen Report Inappropriate Comment |

So sorry this is so bad :((( I agree with all the others REST and RECOVERY. You don't want a set back for sure...Glad you at least have those exercises to help, that don't cost you anything. When I can't use right my arm and right hand for the next six weeks after surgery, I plan just to leave emoticons on people's blogs to let them know I have read as I won't be able to type with just one finger on my left hand much.. Maybe that is what you should do too. Take care of yourself Linda Report Inappropriate Comment |

It's great that your BF will be faxing you the exercises, as it should help since they're the ones you did B/4 for the shoulder. Sending good vibes your way that the pain lessens every day for you. Yes, plese continue to apply the ice to keep swelling down to a minimum. We all understand that using your hands will aggravate the shoulder , so we'll be here when the shoulder allows you to spark as much as you want.

Oh Sandra, I am so sorry to hear the news - not that you won't be Sparking so much, because we all understand the need for that. The news I mean is that the injury is so severe. Here was me thinking it was only a minor problem! You shouldn't be knitting or crocheting at all, as I'm sure you've been told a million times already, but please think about it because it is only going to delay a full recovery, which I'm sure you want and need. I know you don't want to let anyone down by having to delay completing the orders you already have, but your health needs to take priority, I injured my hand at work, the two smallest fingers on my right hand, was forbidden to remove the splint and the strapping to keep them immobile, same with the metal brace to keep me bending my wrist or being able to do anything with the hand itself. I knew better, and just removed everything for short periods throughout the day, did some easy to do things so I wasn't depending on friends, but stopped when it became too uncomfortable, and eventually was able to return to normal. But... by using it till I felt minor discomfort aggravated the injury, and has prevented full recovery, even now. All because I thought using it a little wouldn't do any harm. There is now nothing can be done to return full flexibility to those two fingers, and because of that I now have problems with my thumb and wrist. Please, please remember something my doctor told me that I didn't realize - to use a damaged joint, even to the point of mild discomfort, is only going to aggravate the injury, and the damage is done even before that discomfort is felt. Take all the time you need to recover properly. Read Spark People, reply if you feel the need - with your LEFT hand, and know that we all understand and want you to get properly better before doing anything more than that. Take this time to rest, to relax and catch up with movies, television programs, read all those books you intended to read sometime (if you're like me you have a list a mile long)... just take it easy. I'd hate to think of you aggravating the injury because of Spark People. Sending love and good wishes your way. We will miss you, but we know we would rather miss you than worry about you doing to much with that arm. ((Hugs)) Chris. (End of lecture, lol.) Report Inappropriate Comment |

I hope the exercises help you! You can take tylenol and advil at the same time. Just remember the times for subsequent doses are different.

I hope the pain subsides soon. Hopefully the physio exercises will be helpful. You might want to see your own doctor even though you went to the clinic. I often find that I get different recommendations when I see someone who knows me and my circumstances. The worst that could happen is that she would confirm what the clinic doctor said. Feel better soon. Hugs. SM P.S. I'm not getting any blog or thread notifications from SP right now, so if I miss something I'm not ignoring you - I just didn't see it. You probably don't want to hear this, but I'll say it anyway because I care, so there. :-) The most important thing here is that you get better, and if that means laying off the knitting and crochet, you really need to do that. It is amazing how much of our body is involved in those processes. The side that holds the hook gets the biggest workout, but pulling at wool with the other arm also has its effect. Besides, seeing how badly this has affected your life will be a good lesson for your brother. Maybe it'll teach him to put his stuff away in future. OK, off the lecture box and putting away the wagging finger now. *hugs* At the end of the day, only you know what is affecting your shoulder and how long you can knit or whatever before taking a break, so you be the judge, Honey. :-) Take care, and get better real soon. So Sorry to hear that your shoulder is injured. When I have shoulder "flares" , (from an old injury, typing hurts my shoulder too. Of course, it's my right shoulder and I'm right handed... just figures. Anyway, hope it's lots better soon and doesn't affect your knitting! ((((hugs))))! Report Inappropriate Comment |

I been working on some new project today and just having a total rest day. I did walk over 11,400 steps today which is great because I thought with all that biking and walking that I did yesterday I would be sore and tired but I wasn't. I will be tomorrow cause I also did lots of high stepping and lunges too.
What are me new project you ask, Well let me tell you.
The Garfield I still have to do for myself,
A Sockmonkey for a customer, still working out the details for the outfit.
Finishing mom's sweater
A panda pattern that a friend gave me to work on.
A brown Pony for my knittables collections
Well I think that is plenty enough to keep me busy until I get more orders.
On another note I just wanted to congratulate of my sparkling friends for their new Spark Trophies that they received today. I got some too and it is always a great thing to get at the end of a month. You know that you have worked hard when you receive these special trophies.
I ate well today lots of veggies with my Homemade Chicken soup for lunch and dinner tonight. It was out of this world in comfort food but I am treating myself to one glass of that white Zinfedale wine tonight and a 100 calorie bag of plain chips. My one treat for the week.
Well I am off to bed now to watch a bit more TV and to get some sleep.
Tomorrow is housework day since it is John's day off, He will be doing most of the cleaning because of my shoulder but I will help as much as I can.
Have a great night and I will check in in the morning before I start the housework.
See you all later.
