Wow, it's been a long time... For a quick update since my last post. In 2009 I opened a yarn shop, I've met some really great people and many of them have become great friends. My sister (bumpy1) built a gorgeous home in the country. My grandson is now 6 1/2 years old. That one just blows my mind. My sister also has a grandbaby, Asher he will be 6 in August of this year. I turned 50 years old last August and reached my highest weight EVER 207 lbs. I guess sitting in a yarn shop knitting all day and eating take out or whatever, packed on the pounds. On August 18th I made a choice to give up my Diet Dr. Pepper addiction. I was drinking 4-5 a day, not 12 oz cans but 32 oz fountain drinks. I know the ice takes up a lot of space in those cups, but that's still way to much pop for any one to drink EVERY DAY!! Since that cold turkey day last summer, I have only drank water. I don't drink coffee, so in the mornings I'll have hot water with honey and lemon. I drink about 80-100 oz of water everyday. To date, I've lost 30 lbs and 58.75" (I'm measuring my neck, bust, waist, hips, right bicep and right thigh) I'll post my before and after pic for you to see the changes so far.
In January 2014, I made the decision to close my yarn shop. The only person getting rich was the landlady. When I opened the shop, it really wasn't about the money, I never took home a paycheck, I just put it all back into the shop. The hardest thing about being a business owner is the time away from everyone you love. I was working 6-7 days a week 10 hour days by myself. Once I made the decision to close, it was like a HUGE weight was lifted off of me. Now the hard part, to tell my customers. I had a few cry, some freaked out and a couple just wanted to know when my big sale was going to happen. I closed the doors last week, March 20th. A few days later and 6 gigantic lawn and garden bags full of yarn (that are now lined up in against the wall in my bedroom) I turned in the keys.
Let's see what else? My daughter and son-in-law bought a new home, my niece is getting married in October, my mom and day are going to be moving back to Oklahoma from Colorado in the next year (or two, depending on how long it takes her to get rid of all her stuff that she has accumulated in that 3500 sq foot house) they are going to be downsizing into a 1 bedroom apt, on my sister's land. It will be really nice to have them back, close to us.
I've started a weightloss support group on facebook, I spend way to much time playing games (bingoblitz, candycrush, farmville2) if any of you want to be my gaming buddy you can find me on facebook at https://facebook.com/teresa.copeland
I'd love to have you come check out my group at https://facebook.com/groups/healthy.
My goal is to lose 52 more lbs by the end of the year.

Friday after work, Sabina and I decided to have a granny sleepover. So I took Hayden and she had Caden and we played for quite awhile. It's funny how the babies are starting to notice each other now. They are changing everyday and it's just amazing to see. I don't think I noticed all the fun little things with my own kids because I was so busy doing everything else that it just seemed like a whirlwind blowing through my life, house, mind. If I'd known how much fun grandkids were going to be I'd of had them first.
I really have to figure out the car situation here. My car is down, not sure what's wrong with it. David has worked on it and it will drive until you shut it off and then it won't start again. And, no it's not the started, fuel pump, relays, or anything else that might come to you as the solution. Davy's truck is just a money hog, everytime we turn around it's leaking something from somewhere. It's just a real pain when you have 5 people and only 3 cars running. I'm thinking I'm going to have to break down and buy another car.
Today I'm going to clean house and do laundry. Not much else maybe knit on my wrap a little. I hope everyones weekends are going great.

It all started Thursday, Brennan my son-in-law got a stomach virus. You know the one, vomiting, diahrea, headache, etc. He was very sick, so I made him go to the dr because I was scared to death the baby would catch it. He went and found out it was highly contagious. I ended up packing up the baby and ALL of his gear and heading to my sisters to get away from the bug. Friday, Chelsea started with the headache, she was able to fight off the full blown virus until Sunday morning and her body finally gave up the fight. She bounced back pretty quick and was fine by Monday afternoon. Monday morning Davy got up for work and right before he was ready to walk out the door, he was attacked full force. So back to bed for 2 days. I've always know guys are whinny when they don't feel good, but it took both of them two to two and a half days to really start feeling better. Even though I had a good time at my sisters for the weekend, Hayden was still exposed to the bug. I just kept washing my hands with germ-x and using lysol on everything, doorknobs, cabinet doors, bathroom (everytime it was used), and knock on wood Hayden and I are still feeling good and haven't caught the bug. Hopefully the nasty bug has moved on to some other location. If it comes to your house, I really feel for you.
Now, onto a different subject. As you all know I've been eating alot of vegetable soup and I love it. But since I started eating it, I've noticed a pain in my upper left abdomen area. It started as a little stitch and then turned into more of a stabbing pain. This weekend while at Bumpey's house we made a big pot of vegetable soup and almost immediately after eating it, the pain was so bad I could barely breath. It would eventually lighten up but it has never completely gone away, even now when I take a deep breath it hurts. Also, I've noticed it really doesn't matter what I eat or how much it hurts really bad. So, I haven't been eating much.
Sunday, I ate an english muffin, poached egg and laughing cow cheese for breakfast. And that was all. I think part of it was I was just so afraid of the pain coming back and then if I were to catch the bug I didn't want much on my stomach.
Monday, I stayed home with the baby because Chelsea still wasn't feeling good, and I ate a biscuit with sugar free jelly for breakfast,
lunch was a pb&j on light wheat bread, nothing for dinner.
Tuesday, no breakfast (I woke up with the pain and just didn't want to irritate it anymore), Lunch was a grilled chicken breast with lettuce and tomato, dinner was 1 cup of spaghetti and 1/2 cup meat sauce.
Today, I woke up with the pain again. I guess I'm going to have to make a dr's appt. I looked it up on the internet and upper left adbominal pain is a little unusual. It doesn't feel like an ulcer, more like a stabbing sharp pain when I eat and just a dull annoying stitch during the day. I'll see if I can get in today or tomorrow and let you know what he says.

Yesterday was a little sad, Heather (Brennan's sister) talked Chelsea into letting Hayden spend the night with them last night. I missed my little guy last night. They have already left this morning to go pick him up, I'll be glad when he's back home.
I taught Brennan how to knit last night, he's making a scarf and doing a really good job on it. He has accidentally increased or decreased his stitches. I'm still working on my interlaken blanket, it's almost finished and I'll post pictures when it complete.
I'm still eating my vegetable soup, I really hope it gives me a good weight loss this week.
talk to you soon
