Friday after work, Sabina and I decided to have a granny sleepover. So I took Hayden and she had Caden and we played for quite awhile. It's funny how the babies are starting to notice each other now. They are changing everyday and it's just amazing to see. I don't think I noticed all the fun little things with my own kids because I was so busy doing everything else that it just seemed like a whirlwind blowing through my life, house, mind. If I'd known how much fun grandkids were going to be I'd of had them first.
I really have to figure out the car situation here. My car is down, not sure what's wrong with it. David has worked on it and it will drive until you shut it off and then it won't start again. And, no it's not the started, fuel pump, relays, or anything else that might come to you as the solution. Davy's truck is just a money hog, everytime we turn around it's leaking something from somewhere. It's just a real pain when you have 5 people and only 3 cars running. I'm thinking I'm going to have to break down and buy another car.
Today I'm going to clean house and do laundry. Not much else maybe knit on my wrap a little. I hope everyones weekends are going great.

It all started Thursday, Brennan my son-in-law got a stomach virus. You know the one, vomiting, diahrea, headache, etc. He was very sick, so I made him go to the dr because I was scared to death the baby would catch it. He went and found out it was highly contagious. I ended up packing up the baby and ALL of his gear and heading to my sisters to get away from the bug. Friday, Chelsea started with the headache, she was able to fight off the full blown virus until Sunday morning and her body finally gave up the fight. She bounced back pretty quick and was fine by Monday afternoon. Monday morning Davy got up for work and right before he was ready to walk out the door, he was attacked full force. So back to bed for 2 days. I've always know guys are whinny when they don't feel good, but it took both of them two to two and a half days to really start feeling better. Even though I had a good time at my sisters for the weekend, Hayden was still exposed to the bug. I just kept washing my hands with germ-x and using lysol on everything, doorknobs, cabinet doors, bathroom (everytime it was used), and knock on wood Hayden and I are still feeling good and haven't caught the bug. Hopefully the nasty bug has moved on to some other location. If it comes to your house, I really feel for you.
Now, onto a different subject. As you all know I've been eating alot of vegetable soup and I love it. But since I started eating it, I've noticed a pain in my upper left abdomen area. It started as a little stitch and then turned into more of a stabbing pain. This weekend while at Bumpey's house we made a big pot of vegetable soup and almost immediately after eating it, the pain was so bad I could barely breath. It would eventually lighten up but it has never completely gone away, even now when I take a deep breath it hurts. Also, I've noticed it really doesn't matter what I eat or how much it hurts really bad. So, I haven't been eating much.
Sunday, I ate an english muffin, poached egg and laughing cow cheese for breakfast. And that was all. I think part of it was I was just so afraid of the pain coming back and then if I were to catch the bug I didn't want much on my stomach.
Monday, I stayed home with the baby because Chelsea still wasn't feeling good, and I ate a biscuit with sugar free jelly for breakfast,
lunch was a pb&j on light wheat bread, nothing for dinner.
Tuesday, no breakfast (I woke up with the pain and just didn't want to irritate it anymore), Lunch was a grilled chicken breast with lettuce and tomato, dinner was 1 cup of spaghetti and 1/2 cup meat sauce.
Today, I woke up with the pain again. I guess I'm going to have to make a dr's appt. I looked it up on the internet and upper left adbominal pain is a little unusual. It doesn't feel like an ulcer, more like a stabbing sharp pain when I eat and just a dull annoying stitch during the day. I'll see if I can get in today or tomorrow and let you know what he says.

Yesterday was a little sad, Heather (Brennan's sister) talked Chelsea into letting Hayden spend the night with them last night. I missed my little guy last night. They have already left this morning to go pick him up, I'll be glad when he's back home.
I taught Brennan how to knit last night, he's making a scarf and doing a really good job on it. He has accidentally increased or decreased his stitches. I'm still working on my interlaken blanket, it's almost finished and I'll post pictures when it complete.
I'm still eating my vegetable soup, I really hope it gives me a good weight loss this week.

Tuesday my boss came in and was copying a new diet. The Hearty Vegetable Soup Diet. She made me a copy and it looked interesting, but it sort of reminded me of the cabbage soup diet. I love cabbage and veggies so I decided what the heck. It won't kill me and I'll be sure and get all my veggies eaten every day. So off to the grocery store I went. It cost me $74.00 to buy all the vegetable and a 12 qt stock pot to cook it in and some more plastic bowls to store and freeze the soup.
I was very excited to come home and start making the soup, let me tell you I should have invested in a new salad shooter, or chopper or something because it took forever to cut up all the veggies. I started the process around 6:30pm and the soup was finally finished at 10:30pm. I froze most of it, and kept enough out for the week. The recipe makes 28 cups, so I've got plenty of soup.
The next day, I got my portion out to take with me for lunch and it was really good and very satisfying, then when I got home from work I got out my soup and added 4 oz of extra lean beef and a can of black beans, chili powder, garlic powder and cumin and turned it into chili. I'm not sure what I was thinking mixing beans and cabbage together. It was very tasty and once again very satisfying. I didn't eat anything else the entire night. But now I know why you lose weight eating this soup. OMG - I think I lost 3 pounds this morning just sitting, if you know what I mean.
Today, I decided not to have the soup for lunch because I knew I'd have the left over cabbage chili for dinner. Well, without stepping on the scale to verify it, I think I lost 3 more pounds after dinner. I'll really be interested to see the actual numbers on the scale Monday morning.
Now on to a much more pleasant subject. If you noticed the picture attached to this blog, that is my grandson Hayden. He has just started smiling! He started a few days ago, but I hadn't seen it because by the time I get home from work he's either sleeping or cranky and wanting to go to sleep. Chelsea took this picture today and emailed it to me. Don't you just love a gummy smile. I looked at this picture all day long. Hopefully, I'll get to see the real smile in person this weekend.
Most of you who know me well, know that I'm always knitting on something. Leigh (Bumpey1) my sister, thought of a great idea. She is going to knit a 4x4 sq for every pound she loses. I think I'll start working on that also and see what I end up with. I will probably knit a square 12 x 12 and then attach the smaller squares around it. That would signify the fat me in the middle and the pounds falling off around me. It will be fun to see what I end up with in the end.
Well I hope everyone has a great day tomorrow and a terrific weekend.
