Not much going on here today

Saturday, July 23, 2011

Happy Saturday Friends! I always enjoy Saturday because it is a change of pace. I still get up early and enjoy my normal routine: quiet time, workout, and sparkin, but the rest of the day is up for grabs. Today, rain (YAY!!!) kept me inside for the majority of the day. I put the time to good use and did some decluttering and organizing. Why don't I do a little bit of that every day? I do to some extent, but I could do more!

Weigh in was not what I hoped for today. emoticon I didn't lose weight this week, but I didn't gain. Ahhh . . . there is always next week. I will just keep working hard and watch what I eat a little closer.

Not much else going on today. It was a low key day. I'm going to finish sparking and go read a book! Good Night all!

I am working on decluttering the bedroom this week. As I amgetting MIL bedroom set this weekend I want it all cleaned.

I am glad you had a chance to get so much done. The heat wears me out so I could use some to that rain if you would kindly send it this way! LOL

Decluttering and organizing rules! I love that too!

Here it rains since the morning heavily, around 15mm now, and it doesn't look like it will stop. I have to prepare for some wet running I think.

Do you know this website?
The book that goes along is also great.
I always implement 1-2 ideas of them.>
This is also great, I want to start it soon:

Yes, it is Friday and that's a woo hoo in itself! It's been a good week as far as working out and eating clean. I've done almost 100 or more minutes every day and I've stayed within my calorie range every day. I'm looking forward to see how the scale reflects those things tomorrow. I'm 2 day away from finishing the 30 Day Shred! Woo Hoo! I'm feeling shredded! LOL!!! I've ran more this week that previous weeks too! YAY!!!

Another woo hoo is I looked at a new treadmill today (used but in super condition, it will be new to me!). I am getting a terrific deal on it, a steal! I can't wait to pick it up and get it set up. I love being outside when the weather is nice, but I SO missed having a treadmill all last winter! As soon as I can get so muscle power to help me, We'll pick it up and bring it home! YAY!!! It's even a better on than the one I had!

My best WOO HOO is pictures from DD and the little GDD she will deliver in December!!! Oh God is so awesome!!! We could see perfectly formed little hands and feet, able to count fingers and toes!!! God already know this little one intimately; He knows all of her days and has numbered every hair on her precious little head!! I am so excited to meet this little gift from above. Couldn't ask for a better Christmas present from DD and DSIL!!!!

Oh what an emoticon week you have had! Great Job!
The new treadmill sounds wonderful. I LOVE mine, I have finally figured out an exercise that I actually enjoy doing! LOL My house is so small that I don't have room inside for it. I have mine on my screened in back porch so I get to be outside. (I have my recumbent bike in the livingroom tho!!! lol) Of course I am in Florida and it is fairly nice all year. I am sure you will enjoy having it inside during the winter months where you live.

I am so excited that you got to see pictures of the new "little one". Isn't it amazing how "perfect" she already is??!!! What an wonderful Christmas present that is going to be!
Keep me updated on how things are going.

I know I am enjoying my grandson now! He is two months old now and starting to smile and growing sooo fast! I was so lucky that my DIL let me in the delivery room to watch him being born. That was such a blessing to me that she gave me that gift to see him being born. I know there are alot of DIL that wouldn't have been so kind.

Glad you had a good week!

A friend brought me some fresh baked bread this morning. It is Kamut bread and it is yummy!! She also gave me the recipe and I entered it into the sparks recipe log so I can track it. I love natural, none processed foods. In the summer, I am very content eating the abundance of fruits and veggies. I miss the fresh stuff in the winter. I order from a natural food company for a co-op. I have the benefit of seeing first hand what all is ordered. As a result, I have tried many new things that I would not have tried before. Who new that my sons would be crazy about quinoa? Kamut is one of the things I was interested in, and my friend has more than tempted my taste buds! Does any one have any favorite recipes using Kamut?

Since I posted yesterday, I have had seveal inquiries about what Kamut is, so here is a bit of information.

Organic Kamut® Berries, an ancient relative of modern durum wheat, are high in protein. These plump, golden-colored berries have an unmistakable buttery flavor. Use as a satisfying cereal, pilaf, or grind the berries in your home mill.

You can probably do a google for recipes if you are interested.

Are you sweetly resting?

Wednesday, July 20, 2011

Evangelist D. L. Moody one observed that there are three kinds of faith a Christian can have: A struggling faith, a clinging faith or a resting faith. A resting faith is not some mystical feeling that we might experience at times in a church service or during a spiriturally high moment. It is simply the daily respose of the life that has learned to relax and be comfortable in God's providential care. Such an attitude is the result of ceasing to live for self and starting to live solely for God's glory.

Medical people have long realized the relationship that exists between a happy, calm spirit and a healthy body. Doctors have often stated that many of our physical problems are caused by undue stress. How importantit is, the, even for our own well-being, to relax and rest in God, to trust Him implicitly regardless of the circumstances. Since we were created in His image, we are able to find fulfillment and true contentment only as we learn to enjoy His daily fellowship. That's the "resting faith" Moody was talking about. --Taken from "Amazing Grace 366 inspiring hymn stories for daily devotions"

Something to ponder as you begin to stress today!!

Nice blog! D.L. Moody is one of my favorites. I am working on a "resting faith". I am learning to" let go and let God" take care of things. Thanks for sharing this. emoticon emoticon
PS. I heard on the radio the other day that people who know they are being prayed for heal alot faster than those that don't. I forgot the percentages but it was nice to know. :)

A terrific Tuesday!

Tuesday, July 19, 2011

I had a good workout today! YAY!!! I'm moving closer to the running pace I desire. With the treadmill broken all winter, I really go out of running shape. I had hoped to be back on track by now but . . . .Oh well! Like I said, today was good. After my run, I did day 25 of the 30 day shred . . . only 5 days left. Then, I did strength training.

Today was shopping day. I purchased many fruits and veggies! It's been to hot to cook, so I have been making salads. I have spring mix lettuce and spinach ready in the garden, along with radishes, onions and green beans. I had a couple of small peppers, and the tomatoes are coming along. I'm looking forward to getting all the veggies fresh from the garden.

It was a busy day and I'm getting tired. I'm hoping for a good sleep so I can get up and work hard again tomorrow! AND WTG Daisies!!! Woo Hoo! Let's keep it rolling!!!
