I hope everyone had a great weekend. Mine was outstanding! Saturday, I cleaned, baked, and prepared for our Sunday Easter celebration. Sunday, we started the day with an inspiring worship service and then in the afternoon, we had our family Easter celebration. Our table was laden with delicious food and most of our immediate family was gathered around. It was a joyful remembrance of the price that was paid for our salvation. Jesus paid it all and I am so thankful!
After dinner, one of my DSs dug out the old VHS tapes of their childhood years. What a hoot!!! We laughed until our sides were aching! Oh those darling, mischievous children! Where did all of those years and fun times disappear to? It seems like yesterday our home was full of children's laughter and tears. What a schedule we kept with all 5 of them in sports, piano, guitar, church activities . . . . It was a wonderful walk down memory lane!
P.S. Did I mention that is snowed?

Happy Friday! Are you doing the Happy Friday Dance! Woo Hoo!! I am!!!
Today is a busy one, so I need to keep moving. After a quick workout and shower, I'm off to do the school carpool. Next, I plan to donate blood, and then it's one to Bible Study. Lunch will be out with a friend and then back to school for a meeting. By then, school will be out and DS#4 will pack up his stuff for an overnight.
One of the great things about Friday is: IT'S DATE NIGHT! Hubby and I haven't made plans yet . . I let him do the planning and surprise me!

Not much going on today. Yes, it is STILL cold, -2 this morning is the wind chill. It's a stay at home morning for me. Thursday is the only day of the week that I don't have to be out the door and be somewhere. I can take a little extra time with my workout and it is also "weigh-in." day for one of my challenge groups. I've been exercising regularly this week, but some unhealthy choices have found their way into my mouth. Like, what was I thinking when I made brownies over the weekend? Just because the boys were all here . . . did they say, "Hey mom, make some of your delicious, fudgy brownies?". NO!! And the chips and salsa? Did I really have to obey the voice that said, "Oh, go ahead. You can eat just one chip!"? I turned a deaf ear to the one that was SHOUTING: STEP AWAY FROM THE CHIPS AND SALSA! So. . . . who knows what the scale will say. Too bad all of those fruits and veggies can't cancel out the bad stuff I ate. Would that be something? Eat a brownie, then eat 3 serving of fruit and veggies to cancel out the effects of the brownie. Even exchange! Doesn't that sound like a great thing to you? LOL!!!
As my daughter always use to say on Thursdays, 'Happy Friday Eve!" Hope you have a terrific day!

Good Morning Friends!
It's another blustery morning here, a perfect day to make a big pot of soup! Today, I will make one of my favorites. My soup will have a little of all of the fresh veggies I have on hand: carrots, celery, onions, cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower, kale, spinach, red peppers, green peppers, zucchini, fresh parsley. I will either add water or low sodium vegetable stock a bit of salt, pepper, thyme and basil. Bring it to a boil and let it simmer for 30 minutes or so. What a great way to get lots of veggies without a lot of calories! Add some chicken to your serving and now you have your protein too!
I'm off to workout then do the school run. Next, hubs and I will get to watch DGD for a bit. Then, we will hit the "Y" and hubs will swim and I will probably walk the track since I'm doing my workout now.
