Good Morning Friends!
Today, the question is "Do I Need Motivation or Advice?" My answer: Always!!!!
It's not that I'm crying out for these things. Over the course of the past few days blogging for the 5% challenge, I have discovered that many of you have left motivating comments and advice for me. And guess what? I like it!!! Reading your comments has encouraged me to keep on track and to keep moving. I have taking to heart the advice, and made some of the suggested changes. I can say I am having a successful week and part of that is because of you! Who doesn't enjoy a good word of encouragement? Positive actions bring positive reactions. (I have this on a sticky note on my computer, I can't tell you the source of the quote though) We are on this journey together. When I stumble, you encourage me and help me to keep going. When you stumble, I hope I am doing the same for you!

The day begins right on target: I'm exercising, eating clean, drinking water . . . . then somewhere along in the evening, I get the monster snack attack. I want something salty, crunchy or chocolaty. My weakness is pretzels. I usually stay with in my calorie range and only eat a few, but there are much better things I can be munching on if I am in need of a snack. Today . . . STEP AWAY FROM THE PRETZELS! STEP AWAY FROM THE CHOCOLATE MORSELS!!!
We did get a lot of snow yesterday . . . the good news is it is March and hopefully it won't stay around long! Have a Wonderful Wednesday!

Good Morning! It is an snowy day here, we are under a winter storm warning. But, I'm inside for now, nice and toasty!
The question today is "How are you doing day by day with your new habit?" I'm doing great! I have met my goals each day. I am motivated to move and to keep on moving. Each day I have met my goal early in the morning and then adding the little things in all day, such as the quick fires, the Daisy Do's, and tag you're it!
That said, it is time to put the coffee cup down, grab the water bottle and head down to the basement and begin marching on to today's goals!

I love check list! I always have a check list of something going, a list for groceries, a list for chores to do throughout the day, a list of errands to run, a list of people to call . . . I delight in crossing items off my list! As I mentioned yesterday, I have a sticky note stuck on my computer with my goals for strength training written on it. As I accomplish each one, I cross it off. I also have a list of Strength Training exercises to do for the day, and yes, they get crossed off too! The earlier in the day that I complete my task the better . . . because when the tasks are completed, I can relax and enjoy a good book, computer time . . . or some other pleasure. No guilty feeling, I've earned it! Also, I'm finding that sharing my goal with my spark friends and getting feedback is a BIG encouragement as well! Sooooo. . . . time to get moving! Yesterday, I wrote about my desire to add more Strength Training into my fitness routine. I decided to help me along with that by doing 100 push ups and 130 squats per day. So, How am I going to do that? I have my goal written on a sticky note on my computer. Every time I see it I am reminded of it. I don't like having a check list with items not marked off. So, every time I see my goal I will be reminded that I need to complete that task. Today, I did squats while the coffee was brewing, I will do push ups before I hit the treadmill and when I get off. I have challenged myself today to complete these tasks before I head out the door for worship service! Challenging myself is a great motivator for me.
