Just when you think you have the routine down, something happens to throw it all off. I'm an early riser; I work out in the mornings and have my quiet time before the rest of the family gets up. Because I enjoy getting up early, I don't burn the midnight oil. Well, enter in a shift change in my son's job. Due to circumstances, he is not driving right now. Therefore, he must be dropped off and picked up from work. For me, that means instead of being snug as a bug in a rug in my bed, I'm doing work pick up at 11:30 p.m. My body clock is still waking me up early, giving me about 3 - 4 hours of sleep a night. Probably not a good thing. So, with that said, I'm still getting up in the mornings and working out. I'm trying to sleep in a little later, because I know the sleep is good for my body. If I get behind the powerball in the morning in my workouts, though, it's hard to make it up later in the day. Maybe a nap in the evenings before I make the 11:30 run is the answer.
On the upside, I've dropped about 6 lbs this summer! Woo Hoo! I am more toned and I've lost some inches too!!! Yay!!!
