Hmmm . . . It's been a few months since my last blog . . .almost 6!! (this is for you Oliver!!) The spring flew by and I am deep into summer. The garden is yeilding Spinach, lettuce, peas, tomatoes, peppers, jalapenos, broccoli, cauliflower, and more. There is nothing like going out and picking a "salad" fresh from the garden!
I'm working out a lot. For the past 3 months, my personal goal has been 3000 minutes a month. I'm doing ripped in 30 days, although it will take long than 30 days, since I'm doing it every other day. I'm also running, biking and doing strength training. The past two weeks, I've seen a drop of a couple of pounds and I know I'm losing inches. I'm in the 5% summer challenge and that helps to keep me motivated!
That's all I have for tonight! I'll try to blog again before 6 more months pass! LOL!!!

Brrrrr . . . it is COLD here tonight! the wind chill is -8! I am almost ready to crawl into my nice warm bed! I don't know if i'll get much sleep, because tomorrow I am going to go see my GRANDDAUGHTER!!! . . . and my daughter and dear SIL! I am so excited!!! I am just praying the weather will hold, we are under a winter storm watch! I'll let you know tomorrow if i make it or not.
Ok, my new habit for the day is to encourge someone every day!

Happy Wednesday Spark Friends! Half way through the week and what a beautiful day it has been here! Ok, cold, very cold, but sunny and beautiful!
On to updating my habits for the 5% challenge. I am doing good on my workouts this week, I've posted over 100 minutes each day except for Sunday, and that is my slow down and rest day. I'm pulling things from my quiet time each morning and keeping it with me throughout the day. I'm not doing very good with the sleep habit yet. But that is ok, maybe I just don't need the extra sleep right now. I'm going to bed before i feel tired and I'm waking up before the alarm goes off in the mornings . . . so when I feel tired before my standard bed time, i'll go to bed. Today, I decided this was the day to begin working on being patient with others (everybody)! I am an organized, neat person . . . one of those everything has a place and things should be in there places type of person! It frustrates me when others don't see it as I do. I am a big multi tasker and can accomplish different things at once. I get impatient with those who cannot do that. I finish sentences. Get the picture? All of these are selfish things. They are all about me. Time to focus outward and not on self, and that means gaining a whole bucket load of patience!

Ahhh . . . good intentions, but sleep didn't come until around 10:30 and I woke up before the alarm went off this morning . . . So instead of the 6 + hours of sleep I was shooting for, I got 5 _ 5 1/2. Either my body is conditioned to wake up at 4:00 or I don't need more sleep! I'm going to try it again tonight!

For the 5% challenge we are to be blogging about healthy habits. My first was to increase exercise . . . So far, so good! Second, work on my spiritual relationship . . . quiet time was good today and I carried some thoughts with me through the day AND there were a lot of whiper prayers today! Today, I think it is time to try to catch some more ZZZZZ"s as my healthy habit. I am firm on my waking up time, 4:00 a.m. daily. I am not willing to budge there. By getting up at this time, I have a full 2 hours before anyone else wakes up. During that time I enjoy my quiet time and coffee . . . and then I work out. I can go to bed earlier at night. Hubby is in and out though the week, so I can set my own schedule. So, this week, I will aim for 6 hours of sleep a night . . . If I can get more . . . YAY!!! With that determined . . . I'd better finish sparking and get moving!!
