Day 23

Tuesday, August 28, 2012

Ok guys! This is something to be proud of! This is day 23 of no breaks, 5am running 3 miles and 15 to 20 min of stretching.... Im not losing any weight but my bras are too loose and my pants for work are very loose. So that mean I melting!!! Im so excited!!
To top it off my running partners and I hiked to the top of a Mesa here to celebrate (6 miles round trip), my rear is still so sore!! Our running goal was 21 days straight and we reached it! We brought wine glasses and sparkling grape juice and awesome snacks of bagels and peanut butter, apples and cheese, and nuts. We had a healthy celebration we all will never forget. It was a blast!!
We havent set our next goal yet, but we havent stopped either :)

This is Huge! Day 12

Thursday, August 16, 2012

This is the 12th day in a row that I have got up at 4am... that includes weekends, my birthday, etc.. I have gotten up and ran 3 miles at a slow comfortable, enjoyable pace. I end with some stretch exercises. 30 leg lifts front and side ways. Some overhead stretches and Twists for my waist :) Im so proud I have never went 12 days in a row before. Im trying to teach my Body a habit!
Because Im doing it at such a good pace and not pushing myself to go fast and make myself miserable I actually look forward to when the alarm goes off. ;) This is cool!

emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon keep working at your own pace and doing what you love for activity. You will find in time that you will gain speed if that is what you desire but staying consistent at the beginning is key as well as stretching

Good for you! New, healthy habits are wonderful. I hear it takes at least 21 days to make something a habit that sticks - you are well on your way!

Great Run

Friday, July 20, 2012

Its funny how Running can be so needed. I have been walking in the mornings and doing a little exercise but no serious Cardio for the last week and half. I felt myself about to blow a gasket, the world was weighing on my shoulders. I got home around 8 pm and my husband was wanting to hang out. I felt a pinge of guilt but asked him to go run with me, he said no because ti was too late but the pavement was calling my name. I had to do something. I went and it was one of the best runs I have been on. The first mile was pretty slow, around a 12 min pace but I got so much into the night air and my music and ran the other two miles at 10 min pace. I finished my 3 miles in 33 min... not bad, not bad :)

Week of Church Camp

Monday, July 09, 2012

I was gone all last week as a counselor for our Church Camp (Kinder-6th grade). Its my favorite time of year!! I get no sleep which is no fun but its a blast! My husband does it too so I get to see him at lunches and worship at night. Its so good for our marriage to because by the end I miss him so much!
I didnt get to log anything due to my lack of technology but I was active. The only thing that was a bummer was I didnt eat well. I had not options. I got what I got and if it meant french fries thats what we all ate. So I stepped on the scale today and I was two pounds heavier. Im hoping its from water and not from food lol But back on track and happy to be home!

I used to counsel at camps too, fun days! Glad you had such a good time. Now, drink a lot of water and you'll flush that water-retaining sodium out of your system. Welcome home!
