Time for an update!

Monday, August 05, 2013

Well, lets see......

Last week worked out with my trainer for 3 days in a row emoticon and it was awesome! Went to my home away from home gym and went on the treadmill.

Worked three nights (ended up working over on 2 of them!) and so am now catching up on sleep! emoticon

Yesterday sold my Camaro emoticon but on the upside my husband has found a car he wants in Georgia and we live in AZ!! But the good thing is that it is close to my friend, SARAHTAIT that I haven't seen in years and she is the one who introduced me to SP, so I get to visit with her - so excited! We leave here on August 28th and I am counting down!

On Wednesday I had an interview at work for a promotion, it is a clinical educator position which is what I am doing my degree for, will see, there are a lot of variables that I would have to consider. I have not heard back yet and am thinking this is going to be a slow process. I am happy either way as I love what I do now too.

Tomorrow morning, we go to walk through our new RV! It is all happening right now...nothing happens for months and then BAM! HAHA!

Yesterday when I got home from my days away working my fitbit flex was waiting for me! I now have it on! It is different than my zip and I am not used to not looking to see what steps I have done, but I have the app on my phone and can quickly look there! I love how it analyzes my sleep - amazing!

I think that is everything for now,, school is back here so my son is back in the groove as a high school senior! Daughter is doing her college degree on line and has moved back home for a few days, is great to have her here and she says she is going to cook dinner tomorrow! emoticon

My Pledge:

Today, I promise I will not quit.

I pledge that no matter, how many ups and downs I pass through, I will continue on my journey.

I pledge to make a NEW START today, and forgive myself for my past, and to stop being so critical of myself.

I pledge to take control of myself, to stop making excuses, and stop blaming other people or situations.

I pledge to treat myself as I would my best friend, because that is who I am.

I pledge to stay in the race and to be a WINNER!

Birthday Celebrations at our house!

Tuesday, July 30, 2013

Today my baby is 17 and yesterday he had his first day as a senior! He got his new gaming keyboard that he had wanted this morning before school and the rest of his gifts he is getting afterschool. It is tradition in our home to have whatever you want for you birthday dinner - I was preparing to cook dinner, whatever his request was, I get off lightly - he wants.........grilled cheese and tomato soup!!!!! Yay me!! I checked with him again this morning and that is still his request! Friends are coming to join us so I have warned them :)
His sister is helping look after some twins right now but she is coming home tonight dinner too and bringing strawberry cheesecake bites! Should be a great night. I am going to the gym later today so I will have my exercise in and can relax.

We all survived!

Monday, July 29, 2013

Yep! We have survived the first day with my son as a high school senior! I cannot believe that this day has come! Seems like just yesterday he was my baby :) It doesn't help that he does not look like a senior either. He turns 17 tomorrow!

Summer break is officially over! emoticon

I made the most of my time today, did my online schooling this morning and hit the gym this afternoon! Did 30 mins elliptical then 30 mins with trainer, followed by another 30 mins on elliptical - except my trainer added some resistance and I certainly felt it! emoticon

I had the experience this month of telling my son he was now as old as his grandmother claimed until two of her daughters passed her (29). They do, indeed, grow up so fast, and while you wouldn't want to stand in their way... don't you want to cherish the child in each of them?
