Curves Visitor

So this evening I went to a new Curves while I am away from home for work. I think that I worked harder than when I am using Curves Smart at my home gym. I am thinking that if I keep going back to the same Curves when I am down here working I will look at getting another Curves Smart card for here.
I worked last night, slept today, got up at 4pm and went to Curves, then got ready for work and here I am again......
Sadly, I will not be able to go tomorrow as Curves closes at 12pm and I will be sleeping.......I will need to look at doing something else instead. I have been saving the exercises on sparkpeople so may do that instead. I am staying with a friend and I can do these when I get up in my room :) Well that will be the challenge for tomorrow!
Will blog about that tomorrow......

    I think if the machines made you work harder without the Card, I wouldn't spend the money on a second card. But it would be kind of fun to be able to do the card at both places.
I know you will find a way to get in some Fitness tomorrow. After all, you HAVE to get those Fitness Points, right? emoticon

YOu can get some exercise bands and the videos and spark pages will give you tons of exercises you can do with them for strength training.

THey are lightweight and you can take them anywhere.

Busy Day

Well, I thought I had better blog about my day today.....did not make it to Curves today and have been too busy to eat!
Started off the day with a visit to one of my families that I follow up after the baby being in the NICU, then had to take my son's 2 week old cellphone to the store as it had died already! We got a replacement one and then headed back home. Had to go and do the grocery shopping next..........bought some good snacks too by the way! Got some Special K fruit crisps - 100 cal packs and they are soooo good! Also another favorite is Quaker True Delights - Multigrain fiber crisps and my fav flavor is blackberry pomegranate! 110 cal per serving and 17g whole grain :) So I am set up for the next 4 nights of nightshift! Also got my stash of yogurt for the 4 nights.......
Had lunch at Arbys with my husband whom I am now not going to see until Monday.......he will be another year older by the time I see him again......am sad that I will not be home for his birthday on Sunday....but there is an ice-cream Sunday at church so just as well I am away!
Forgot to pick up some other things...so back to Walmart.....
Had a quick nap then the kids were home from school and had to take son to the bank to open a teen checking account - that took over an hour!
Raced home, threw my bags together and flew down the mountains to work which is 100 mile drive......WHEW! I am now at work and can relax...
I did bring my clothes, shoes and visitor pass for Curves while I am down here and plan on going tomorrow after I have slept!

Curves Day #2

YAY! Got up earlier than usual and immediately went to Curves! emoticon Today I burned just 338 calories, but it is better than not going at all and today was my alternate day which means I am supposed to take it quieter after working out yesterday, my heart rate was up and I was sweating so I know I was working hard but one of the machines was not registering our workout properly but we know we were doing it! When I was there, a friend also arrived so that made it all better! It went faster it seemed working out with her :)

Today I have a busy day, have to go and visit one of my NICU families for followup developmental check, it is about 80 miles each way, but will be taking my water with me, don't like to drink too much prior to a road trip for obvious reasons so will probably have to catch up once I am home, have downed 3 glasses already though.

Am planning on eating light today, have friends coming for hamburgers tonight! Had a boiled egg for breakfast....so so far things are going well today :)

One day at a time......

    Definitely One Day at A Time is the way to go.

Back on Track

Oh so easily I fell off the exercize track :( But I am now back on track! This morning went to Curves and burned 358 calories so I AM BACK! I work with someone who has joined Curves too but as we cannot go to the same Curves cause we live far away...we are going to text to hold each other accountable! I have no excuse except laziness and not making time to exercize. I got my visitor pass today too so that I can go when I am away from home working in another town!
I will try and blog each day how it is going, and that too will keep my accountable!

    I LOVE Visiting other Curves!! While we were in Vegas last year I went to the Curves there 3 times--even though I had to take a cab each way. It was worth it!

Last Night in the NICU

Tonight is my last nightshift in the NICU......I am going to be moving TEMPORARILY to the PICU for 2 months. So tonight we ordered out and initially I thought that I had blown my eating plan!!! But now that I have looked for the nutritional information on line it is not as bad as I had thought - of course I looked up the nutritional values AFTER eating the food~! Anyhow I had a pasta bread bowl from Domino's and the whole thing was 600 and something, but that is my eating done now until I wake up this afternoon so all is not lost! The joys of a nightshift nurse :) Now I am chugging back the water to make up for it :) But I enjoyed the meal and now I move on...in the words of another sparkpeople friend.....every new meal is a new chance!

    I think working nights helps us pack on the pounds. I've been nights for 20 years now!

Hope you do great and love the PICU. I've floated there many times, and I honestly prefer my little ones, but it does have it's rewards!

    I know you will miss the little tiny ones...but I also know that you enjoy the PICU!! Hope that it is a fun time for you and that all goes well. Was this something that you wanted to do or is it just something that they are making you do to cross train?? Just wondering! Bless your heart-I remmeber those night shifts not so fondly!!! Sure don't know how you ever make it to church!! But if I remember I think I did on my weekend off....whew was it hard to flip back and forth....bless your heart. Hang in there!!
