Well, I am loving my trainer, Kayla This morning was my 2nd session with her and I worked hard.......harder than I thought I could! When I arrived, she asked me if I had my sunglasses.....why? Cause we are going outside! So glasses on and off we went with me carrying 10 pound weights in each hand! We walked around the building - oh did I say walk???? I mean power walking and I had to keep up with her!! Then off to a grassy area with partial shade where I did step-ups with and without the weights, calf lifts with and without the weights, jumping jacks with one weight and without, lunges and squats! Somehow, it doesn't seem that much now that I am writing it.......but believe me it was!! Was 30 mins worth! I am sure my heart is wondering what happened, still!
I am glad that I did it!!
Now am relaxing with my protein shake..........

I am so glad that I went to the gym today! I worked hard with a trainer! I have joined Anytime Fitness and am excited to get on with my program I met with my trainer and we went through a few things first, we were on the same page about a number of things, so I think she is the right trainer for me! We talked about the changes that I have made so far in my diet and she was in full agreement with my eating plan! We talked about my goals and she thought that I was a little ambitious on my weight loss, so we revised my goal to another 16 pounds by October 7th when I see my cardiologist. She does not want me weighing myself though, we are going to go by my fat % and BMI which I totally agree with but I am kinda addicted to the scales! We agreed that I would weigh once a week seeming as I am on the 5% challenge! We did my fat analysis and I was 2% less than last Monday when I measured myself with the same kind of machine!
We did upper body today, will do lower body another day and then cardio! I worked hard today and would of given up way earlier if it had not been for her encouragement! When I was ready to stop, she would ask, "how much do you want this?" and that would give me the extra push I needed. We also realized that she lives just a few doors down the street from me! We thought each other looked familiar! For me, I think a trainer is what I need to keep me accountable right now So I have signed up for their transformation program and will work with Kayla 3 times a week!
I am excited to be on track and have a plan! Oh forgot to say that I lifted 30 pounds!! And curled 40 pounds, but it was a half curl for now! I am going to have muscles before I know it!

Worked the last 2 nights, glad to be back home now :) Have 5 nights off! Had a good time at work.
The first night I bought a salad from Smashburger! Oh my! Did not work out the calories etc beforehand and it contained over 700 calories! I had plenty to use, so that was OK but could not believe it! Our secretary had a birthday and there were cupcakes, but they were 350 calories each and I did not partake!
I also added another person to my support team!! He is a respiratory therapist and works out 5 times a week, so he was giving me tips and encouraging me to stand by my plan!
At work, as part of my employee benefits I get to sign up for globalfit, which gives me a good discount for anytime fitness. I am looking forward to meeting up with my trainer on Monday.

Well I went for my free trial at Anytime Fitness today! Wow do I have a long way to go! But the main thing is to start, right? I can only improve from here! After looking all around, they asked if I would like to workout, sure no problem! Wrong! I had never been on an elliptical machine, looked easy enough.....I lasted 5 minutes!!! heart rate was in the 150's and my legs were like jello when I was done! I go to work tonight but am going back on Monday to join up and meet with a trainer!
Will keep updating how it is going!
